Half arsed attempt to flame the fan boys?…

Sorry to be brief before, I thought it was obvious why the PC version was better. I guess I need to explain. The PC version has far better graphics, more detailed textures, and sharper higher resolution. And you can add your own tweaking/mod to the PC version. And the PC will always be around, in 3 years time the XBox will be superseded by the next new thing. Those are enough reasons to dismiss the XBox version.

        • +4

Yes the PC version is technically superior but people buy multi-platform games on consoles for many reasons. I have the PC version myself, but your comment had absolutely nothing to do with the deal. What is the point in making such a comment? You're just trolling.

        • +1

You do realise you can run this same argument for EVERY multi-platform game right? If everyone thought the same way as you then there would be no such thing as console gaming. The opinion of a biased, PC-only gamer doesn't really help anyone.

      Metacritic
      360 96
      PC 94
      PS3 94

      • in all seriousness, do you honestly think the 360 version is better than the pc version?

        • No one has claimed that, these scores are not relative to each other. the xbox360 & PS3 are showing their age, compared to most PC games not they are not that spectacular. That and and mouse & keyboard is a better control platform for FPS. I am a huge 360 Fanboi, But will admit until we see the next gen of consoles PC has the edge.

        • Info is copied from Metacritic, I haven't played any version though I've ordered this due to high rating/low price. Thanks OP.

Cheap price for an awesome game!
Voted number 1 Modern Game by IGN - http://au.ign.com/top/modern-games/1

  • any chance of a complete edition of this coming out for 360?
i wish they'd upgrade the graphics like the ps3 version.

    • Not likely, the 360 version has 2 discs, you'd be looking at atleast 5 discs if they did

And you do realise the ps3 version came put way later than the 360 version?

      • yes i realise..and they used the mass effect 3 engine or something to improve the graphics. i just find it odd that dragon age and many others had complete/goty editions and mass effect 2 never did. even oblivion is coming back for a 5th anniversary complete edition.

        • It was made for the 360 though. It wouldn't be possible to upgrade the graphics much (if at all).

These consoles are just starting to show their age, that's all. There could be a GOTY edition. But it would be the same game with all the DLC, not graphical improvements. That would require too much work for most companies. And bioware are famous for releasing games and then offering no ongoing support or patching once they've hit the market. So I wouldn't be holding my breath.

  • bargain for great game

  • I think i got nearly 70 hours of entertainment from me 1&2 and didn't pay more than $50 for both

  • Same question as for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West Xbox 360 - how do I select Australia in delivery address drop down box?

    Thanks.

  • How do you order this? There appears to be no option to post to Australia…

    • Scrap that. Tried again and it worked.

  • Bargin.

With ME3 coming out soon no better time to hop on board the ME train!

For those with issues with Australia not appearing in the drop down box

Use Chrome or IE8 instead of Firefox or Opera.

we need a wiki page setup for this, there are always new people that have no idea, its hard to be tolerant lol

or if there could be like an automatic footer to zavvi posts..

      • -5

Geez sorry to be such a burden.

        • I don't recall anyone saying anything to you, a feature everyone has access to could help others in the future without the need for new/unfamiliar users to ask for help

        • *removed double comment *

      • If it's that much of an issue you could always try emailing them to let them know their site has compatability issues with certain browsers…

    • Thanks, was able to order using internet explorer.

      Cheers

  • can we play this game in Co-Op mode locally ? i mean split-screen

    • I dont think it has any kind of co-op… not 100% sure though, have only played ME1.

    • +1

No there is no co-op, multiplayer, or split-screen. Rumor has it that there will in ME3 but not in 1/2.

    • hey jitesh can you tell me how you got 13 months waived with 3, i called 3 care and with 8 months left asking to migrate to voda and they said i need to be on at least 20 months

  • +1

Great game, great price. Even the sunday swap meet charges $15 for a pirated copy!

  • Is it worth getting Mass Effect 1 whilst at it?

    • +1

Yes mass effect 1 will be a little slow, you will see "loading" on the screen a lot if you stray
from an expected path or move too fast, but if you finish the game I pretty much guarentee the first thing you will say after is " dude that was epic" also if you use the same sheppard in me1 into me2 you get some extra credits n stuff ( I've forgotten )

    • If you've got time to kill, yes. Both fantastic games! Just make sure to play number one first so the choices in number one effect the way number 2 is played!

    • Abso-freakin-lutely. If you do plan on playing the second one it will be a richer experience if you play the first one first. Personally I can't even imagine playing the second one without the first. There is always that 15 minute interactive movie you can download from XBLA (I think it's called Genesis) which gives you a run down on the events of the first game as well as allowing you to make key decisions.

  • excellent price!

  • I can't comprehend how this game got so cheap, so quickly!
It really is a masterpiece. My impulses tell me to buy another copy, just for a friend or to get someone hooked.
Save game continuation is a real plus. Note to self : ensure I finish this game before ME3 which will conclude the trilogy!

    • Just a general warning, especially for me1, auto save isn't reliable and save games can go missing, so do saves yourself

  • This is on my dispatch order status for the game. "Est: 11/08/2011". I'm in no hurry :\
