21st birthday for the bridge climb operators for the Sydney Harbour Bridge and for one day only they are offering prices back to the original price when it first opened.
"On Tuesday, 1 October, BridgeClimb turns 21 and we want to celebrate this major milestone by saying thank you to everyone in Sydney who has supported us.
For one day only, we are throwing it back to our original 1998 ticket price of $98 and invite all of you to take up our special offer."

Tickets on sale 9am, 12th Sep.

    There is a queue system if and when you get through. Place in the queue is randomly assigned.

      The FAQ says:

      "I already booked for the of October 1, will I be able to receive a refund?
      Absolutely! It’s only fair. Everyone who has already booked will be offered refunds and will be able to climb at $98. Talk about your lucky day."

      So all the family and friends of staff would have bought their tickets before the promotion was publically anncounced and will now be claiming refunds.

    Queue has resumed for me. More than an hour…

    • same! yep was 10 minutes away, paused for 10 minutes and now its 40 minutes away :(

    • I'm not unhappy about missing out - I'm also at more than an hour. It's a complete crap shoot and normally depends on things like how close your internet is to their servers.

      I am disappointed that someone set it to a limit of 14 tickets per booking. That's a pile of crap. How about making it limit of 2 people and then maybe a few hundred people can come along..

    It's working. Reload the page, and hit ESC in the moment the purchasing page appears but before you are redirected to the queue. You can then purchase a ticket.

      worked for me. but had to settle to a different time slot than intended.
      Once you are in the booking page, if you get Error object, mostly it is because of unavailability, do not refresh the page but click Back button (in the page not in browser) and it takes you back to select a different time slot.

  • I got it… clicked on booking button 2 mins before 9, was in queue for 7 mins but then it started acting weird and then the queue was in pause. Eventually it worked… had to try multiple times. Lot of "Object Error" before it went through. Try using CC direct, might save trip to and back from Paypal site.

  • I was able to book. Yay!! I tried the quick book option in their home screen. Used paypal for payment.

    Managed to book, and got to confirmation screen (and have saved the PDF) but haven't been charged or emailed yet…

      same here. saved the pdf and got the sms, but no charge yet. pdf says - Held, pending payment

      • I think I may have made 2 reservations as well.

        Made a booking and got redirected to the front page (no email, no charge, mustn't have been successful) so I tried again and was successful. Now just hoping I didn't make multiple bookings…

          I just chatted with an agent and they see my booking but payment failed. I was told to call +61 2 8274 7777 on the afternoon and quote that reservation number and make the payment.
          So if you dont see a charge, hopefully you call them and cancel one of the bookings.

    I got booking confirmation but no email or credit transaction. Anyone the same?

      • Alas, I just checked and I got a confirmation number and I contacted them and they said the payment had failed (or wasn't provided) so they cancelled it.

        Sh1t happens.

      You must've missed the earlier warning you can't take your own photos on the climb, or even your own DVR recording glasses!

        I didn't miss it, they can ask me to delete images or videos.

        However, thinking they have the power to search your phone, let them rummage through your photos and delete images and videos is totally not okay… it's borderline Orweillian

        • How did you plan on taking photos when you literally can't take anything up? They even put you through a metal detector. And you wear jump suits that don't have pockets for you to put anything into from memory

          6.3 Other than as set out in clause 6.1 and 6.2 above, Climbers are not permitted to take any items onto the Bridge (including but not limited to items such as cameras, videos, audio, pagers, mobile phones, handbags, and any other personal items). Climbers will be provided with a locker for storage of personal belongings. To ensure that unauthorised items are not carried on to the Bridge, Climbers may be required to pass through a metal objects screening system.

    Managed to get a hold of the customer support: "it is great that you have a booking number, this means your climb has been booked.
    Due to the high demand we are finding that booking confirmation emails are taking a little longer than usual to arrive.
    I would recommend checking you emails again later today, make sure you check your junk folder too as it could have been sent there."
