$600 off on Samsung Series 8 RU8000 65" 4K UHD LED TV at JBHiFi, now selling at $1,695. Based on experience, there is room to negotiate another $100 or so when you speak to the store salesperson. Delivery charges are extra. I believe Samsung lead the TV technology and at this price it a great deal to get a 65 inch TV with Ultra HD. Suggest you go to the website and check store availability before heading to the store.

      Not sure if you're able to further negotiate at other places, but you can at JBHiFi. Also some work places do discount JBHiFi vouchers, which gives you a further upside.

    I had a look at this and the tv didn't seem to do upscaling very well. SD and HD concurrent (FTA TV) looked very soft

    Just when I think it's time to upgrade my TV to a 65inch 4K another deal comes along and more and more frequently lately.

    Whatever I buy today will be a lot cheaper next month or there will be better technology?

    This seems to happening on a monthly basis lately when it used to take at least a year.

      Cheaper sets are getting cheaper. It's just the way it's going currently. High end sets aren't getting too low.

    Appliance central has no love for regional areas. Mine shows $240 Delivery and I'm just 30 minutes from Newcastle.
