    Are these fakes?

Not sure i would trust them, bought an apple cable from them "authentic". It wasn't.

Good chance these are fakes. I couldn't trust it IMHO.

Anyone know where to get a genuine pair for cheap? Catch has them at $18 but I’m a little skeptical

Bought mine from Catch as well as a pair of Beats. Both were fake and fell apart within a month.

      • Thanks For confirming. All the major retailers sell them at or close to RRP $45

From experience Groupon and Ebay (most $20 listings) are fake, the Catch ones seem genuine to me- can't tell the difference in sound quality from my old genuine pair.

      • Hmmm, when did you buy yours from catch?
There looks to be a lot of negative reviews after February this year.

        • Bought mines last November and still going strong (although I don't use them as often anymore), maybe the new batch they have are bad quality. Although you have to question what some of these people in the reviews are doing with them, I'm not sure how the in-line controller can just rip out and leave exposed wires without using force lol

    • I would also like to know. I like them because they aren't in-ear and the microphone work perfectly. I actually use a samsung s10 and still using these from years ago.

    • Is there any other 3.5mm jack headphones with comparable quality which is not $45?
Doesn't have to be Apple. But with Apple compatible volume control.
      I could not find any.

    • I wonder the same. The genuine apple earpods are very good and I use some silicone ear hooks when running.

I got some earpods from ebay for $20 which claimed to be 'genuine apple' but they were fakes, cardboard box, plastic packaging, warranty card and all!

  • They advertise it as Original Apple Earpods. If it is not original from apple, anything we can do? Ask for refund?

Problem is Groupon isn’t the seller. Not worth the risk. No deal.

Just chatted with a Groupon support:

me: is it a genuine product?
    me: from Apple
Sundar G: Yes. Everything that we sell on Groupon goes through extensive quality checks before being featured. Often, we source products direct from the producer, but even when we don't, we take measures to ensure the origin and authenticity of the item.
Sundar G: Please let me know if you have any further questions and I am happy to help you out.
me: what happen if it is not?
Sundar G: You can contact us and we'll help you.
Sundar G: Is there anything else I can help you with today?
    me: will get a refund?
Sundar G: Yes. If it is not, we'll issue refund.
Sundar G: Is there anything else I can help you with today?
