    Thats an amazing price!

  • Excellent price! I have been looking for a magic mouse and most places are double this price!

    • +11

i didn't really like using the magic mouse… quite unreliable, un-ergonomic, and battery seems to go down too quickly for my liking… but the magic trackpad is very nice! the only downside is that you need a hard flat surface to use it (the base of the trackpad act as the "buttons").. battery lasts a while too!

magic mouse RRP is $75 according to Apple Aust website

    • RRP has previously dropped from $99 to $75. Must be a few stores out there too slow/lazy to update their pricing

  • +2

I'm getting the Magic Trackpad as from what I can gather the latest iMacs already come with the wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse.

    • Yes, I'm tempted by the trackpad too. I have a Mac Mini plugged into my TV and using a mouse on my couch armrest isn't the best of trackers, this is the perfect solution! :)

      • +2

Trackpad is great takes a little getting used to

    • You can choose a magic trackpad instead of a magic mouse if you order online from Apple, and I guess the same if you went into an Apple store.

  • free delivery?

    • +2

Mentioned in the original post abc - appears to be $5.95 flat rate for multiple items or free pickup instore via the reservation system.

    • The post says otherwise.
      edit: Beaten to it.

  • wheres reservation system?

    oh.. found it

just gotta go through store stock thing

    • Click on the "Check Store Stock" grey box (next to "Add To Cart"), find store with stock by entering your postcode, for stores with stock it will give you a "Collect Here" option to select, then you just check out and they will text you when it's ready.

  • Just got a Wireless Keyboard and Magic Mouse ready for pickup at the Dick Smith about 5 minutes away for $95 with my staff discount.

    Fantastic deal.

Picked up a track pad! Thanks!!

it was free delivery for a wired keyboard.
Online stock of the wireless keyboard is now sold out :(

    • +1

Cheers, I'll update the post, looks like Magic Mouse all gone online too.

Completely off topic - as I was typing I just felt an earth tremor here in Melbourne, house shook a bit. Eeeeee.

Probably one of the gangs using hand grenades rather than bullets

Sorry - just heard you had a 4x Earthquake down there

  • great to share. I just reversed a track pad to pick up from George St store in Syd. cheers

    • +3

You might want to RESERVE it

  • Just bought Magic Mouse in Bourke Street branch. 2 stocks left.

  • +1

    That's a great price, the trackpad's terrific

  • -2

it's not on sale in store

  • +1

I'm using a trackpad. Took a while getting used to it. If you're using Windows you probably don't want to buy that. If you're on Snow Leopard, make sure to upgrade to Lion for a greater trackpad experience :)

IMO, probably a bit better for your wrist than a mouse.

on sale in Melboure CBD, i got the last one. Thanks

Good deal! Reserved a Wireless Keyboard, will collect it after finishing up the day;-)

    Just bought a logitech M950 so I don't need a Magic Mouse.

    Thanks dudes!

  • Dont forget officeworks have these too. get down there before stocks run out at all DSE and get em for another 5% off :)

  • Officeworks will price match, I just got the Magic Trackpad from the Richmond store for $54 (they price match on the total DSE price incl. shipping)

Richmond had lots of wireless keyboards in stock, two more Magic Trackpads, but I couldn't see any Magic Mice there.

  • got one from domayne, price matched to $50

they still had the old price of $99 on them!

  • +1

Nice! I just got myself a Magic Trackpad. :)

    • I ordered online in the afternoon, but I managed to drop by Officeworks after work and picked one up for $47.50 instead.
Cancelled my DS order, so you never know - some stock might pop back up online tomorrow.

  • Price matched to $47.50 at Adelaide Anzac Highway Officeworks. I checked that DSE Marion had them in stock through the Web site first. What a deal!

  • picked a magic track pad and now using with win 7, happy

  • +1

Thanks, got one from Chaddy. Think there was 7 left.

  • +1

City store is out of stock while the website still showing the green button "collect here" ;( had to re-order one at the store ;(

  • Are there different models of these?

I saw a Magic keyboards for 3 different prices from a vendor I found on Staticice
    http://www.digitan.com.au/home.php?cat=1802&sort=orderby&sor…

    Prices ranging from $53 - $108…..

    Whats the difference anyway?

    • There's a wireless version and then there's two wired versions. One having the number pad and one without (I think the one without no longer exists)

      • all 3 are wireless keyboards.
I guess one of them has the number pad

Are the following correct part numbers ?

        Keyboard - MC184LL/A
        Mouse - MB829ZM/A
        Track pad - MC380ZM/A

All of the above listed on apple store for $75 each

With the number of gestures in the soon-to-be-released Mac OS Lion, a track pad or magic mouse are worth the investment.

  • Awesome deal. Got a trackpad. Cheers sparkles.

  • +1

local store didn't any in stock but they ordered one in for me. look forward to getting it

  • +1

Officeworks price matched on the $50 less 5%. Woohoo.

Been wanting to play with one of these for ages. :)

  • does anyone know when this offer will expire? I really want to get a Magic Mouse considering the US RRP is $69.

    • Guess when they sell out…. I wouldn't be waiting around. Look for a store that has stock

  • +1

Awesome price, got myself a trackpad

  • I wonder if the trackpad is usable on a windows PC

  • Let's see if my local store stock and reservation process works.

  • +1

got one this afternoon at DES highpoint, just about to open it.

  • magic mouse is a piece of crap..batteries run out way too quick. If I had known how great and easy the inbuilt track pad is yo use and can be customised, I would never have bought the mice! we have 2 magic mouse which we paid $99 each! gonna sell it on ebay.

    • I think Logitech M950 does a better job…

  • Thanks for posting this deal

I tried the magic mouse, and was instantly turned off

It feels so unergonomic. I got a sprain trying to do the multi touch features running my fingers in different directions on the top part of the mouse

I just returned it for the trackpad. Much easier on the hand, and there are more multi function possibilities

  • +1

For those who are interested, I just got a price match at the Apple Store Sydney: wireless keyboard and magic trackpad for $100.

    Cheers!

  • +5

BTW this is already $50 each at officeworks - no need to pricematch - just picked up the trackpad.

    • +2

Good find. Yes trackpad, magic mouse and keyboard all available in-store and online at OW for $50 now.

  • Dammit, only just saw this bargain, and out of stock at the stores nearby… ah well.

    • Dude, read 2 lines above, as I said, Officeworks grew tired of pricematching and have it already set at $50 for the duration of the sale, get down there quick smart.

      • Yeah just noticed that after posting that… going to officeworks today. :)

What's so good about this. A mouse for $50? Is it better than my logitech MX? Doubt it.

  • +2

I've had a Smart Mouse for about a year and I love it. I've got big hands and find it very light and clean to touch and very responsive. Not a mouse for button jockeys. I picked up a second one in this sale.

    • I'm using it with an iPad and it's perfect. It got a lot of hate in this comments thread but I think for $50 it's a great mouse.

While the gestures don't work on iPad, I find them really nice on a Mac or Windows PC.

    • +1

I use the magic mouse at work and love it, especially for design work. I installed this software (http://magicprefs.com/) to customise it and get the most out of it. I ordered a magic mouse from this deal for home.

I will be getting a 6x9 Wacom graphic tablet soon so the trackpad would be overkill.

Yes, the batteries do run out quickly but its not such a big deal with rechargeable batteries.

  • +1

Picked up a Magic Mouse from JB Hi-Fi with price matching from Officeworks. Very keen to pick up the Trackpad soon too :) this is a steal!

  • +1

got the mouse today at JB. really happy with it at that price. was not all at keen to buy a mouse at $100

  • Got a Magic Trackpad - thanks

Plenty of Magic Mice in North Ryde - no keyboards or trackpads

  • Picked up my Magic Trackpad tonight. The click and collect process seems to work good.

Fountain Gate (superstore) still had four of the Trackpads left on the shelf, but no Magic Mouse, no wireless keyboards.

  • awesome, thanks

what does everyone think about the apple keyboard, how it doesnt have a numpad..is it a big issue or is it quick to get used to (with the benefit of being smaller than most keyboards)?

    • apple wireless keyboard it great - i've had it for about 4 years and love it. however if you are a number warrior you are going to be annoyed by the lack of keypad and I suggest getting the apple wired keyboard which has the same sleek design but with numpad. However casual number entry no problemo. Having said that, on those rare occasions I need to produce some sort of detailed spreadsheet, I do have a wireless logitech numpad I picked up for cheap a while ago by making OW pricematch somewhere on sale. It comes out for the few hours I need, then goes back in the draw for the rest of the month(s). I also have an app on my iphone which turns it into a numeric keypad to use with your mac, and often that makes an appearance on my desk too. Personally im a documents man and value every bit of real estate on my desk so this small form factor suits me perfectly. hope that helps.

  • Thanks! i just got my magic trackpad and wireless keyboard from OW Coburg today!
Apparently they still have 3 more keyboards left and about 2 more of the magic trackpads. Not sure about the magic mouse though.

  • Can someone post a receipt from either JB or Myer for price matching? I went up to both stores and they said they could no do it for $50. Also, does anyone know where there is stock available for the wireless keyboard in Sydney?

    • Try OfficeWorks?

    • Not sure about DJs but you have no hope of getting Myer to match this price. Their price match policy specifically states that they will only match if the match price is not below cost price (which I think this is). Best bet is to ring around the various Office works in your area to check stock.

  • I know this is expired, but could anyone post a receipt for a trackpad or keyboard they purchased? I'm sure I can wrangle my way into a bargain!
