3600-2080-CLEARANCE

Hi all, BA posted this deal in August and I am offering the same deal again here (for the last time) with a high-spec R5 3600 / RTX 2080 system at $1499.

We are committing the last of our regular RTX 2080 GPUs to this deal so it is limited to 40 units. Since my last post we shipped a very large number of 2080 systems and the remainder of due 2080 orders will be shipping this week. NVIDIA RTX Promo codes will be given.

Spec:
Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 2080 8GB (majority MSI as per last deal) | 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 | Biostar B45M2 (B350) Motherboard | 240GB NVMe m.2 SSD | 700W PSU | White Leaper Pro or Black Esports Pro case: $1499 + $29 Delivery
Link: https://techfast.com.au/products/amd-ryzen-5-3600-rtx-2080-8…

Popular upgrades for these last time around were 16GB 3200MHz RAM (now $79 due to cost increase), 750W 80+ Bronze PSU ($59) and B450M motherboard ($99; Gigabyte DS3H and MSI Gaming Plus have been used so far).

Lastly and perhaps most importantly for some we are killing the sticky header shortly.

EDIT: Correcting error in header but was correct in body and on the site, the bundled PSU is the 700W. Apologies.

Luke

Friend, link says ryzen 2700 and a few of the other specs (mobo, psu) look wrong. Wrong link?

    • +3

      Fixed, thank you.

  • Hi Luke, PSU is 700W or the 750W 80+ Bronze ? Buying if it is the same PSU as last time 750W 80+ Bronze and also the only difference between the last one and this is the RTX 2080 vanilla Vs Super.

  • +1

Upgrade the el cheapo PSU unless you want your 2080 to blow up. Most important part of the build

    • +2

      It's 700w.
TDP of the CPU is 65W, GPU sub-300W. 550w PSU would be more than fine.
Unless you are talking faults, in which I don't know what you base that on.

      • There is much more to a PSU than the watts. Like having a reputable brand name for starters
The cheap ones use crappy chinese capacitors and don't have thermal protection on the whole board.
It is the worst area to skimp on, spend the extra $100 and get something reputable

    • Yep, deal link is fixed too. Thanks.

  • Try the link in his post (worked for me) and not the "Go to Deal" link.

    • That's correct - it's been fixed now though.

  • I am after rtx 2080. Do you guys reckon it is cheaper to
get this and then sell the machine without gpu?

Mwave has MSI RTX 2080 for 1,149

Ie can I sell this setup less GPU for > $400?

  • How would this be for streaming? (broadcasting not viewing) I asked this on a similar post with a lower price-point and was told to go for a better model, wondering if this model is more appropriate.

    • this is more than enough, infact even an overkill.

      • Great to know. Thank you. Either this or something between the two by the looks of it.

  • How many slots for further 3.5” and 2.5” drives does this thing have?

  • Can anyone with a similar rig comment on the performance you can expect to achieve with this? I’m looking at at a 144hz 1440p ultra wide monitor, mainly playing FPS games. Would this be able to power a monitor like that?

    • +1

      Easily.

      • -1

2080 OG isnt enuff to drive 144p ultrawide at 144hz. 16:9 1440P maybe

    • +1

if you want max settings, get a Ti

    • To be honest, 144Hz does not comply well with UWide. If you want 144Hz, you want to focus on the middle of the screen and rarely use the extra edge. On the other hand, if you want to enjoy the panoramic view of UWide, you can barely notice the difference between 144Hz and 60Hz.

Just my humble opinion, coming from a heavy FPS background.

      • Thank you, I have been tossing up between 4K 60fps or 1440p ultrawide at 100-144Hz. What monitor do you have? Do you have a 2080 graphics card?

        • I am using Acer Nitro VG271P, 144Hz 1ms IPS, sticking with 1080p for optimized frame rate. My card is only a 1080 though.

  • Are the motherboards updated with the very latest BIOS? (i.e B35GS723.BSS ?)

    • They test these before shipping so assuming they have the correct bios

  • was just wondering if this a reliable site to buy from
    if anyone has experience

    • +6

100 percent can confirm reliable. Little nephews PC still running with the stock parts given.

      Positives -
      Cheap
      Clean Build
      Running
      Negatives -
      None

      • +2

        Legendary.

    • +2

Yea man, these guys are good to go.

    • +3

They have a great reputation on here.

    • im just kinda scared of the shipping process
like if something goes wrong is there any advice you guys can give?

      • Our DOA policy covers everything if anything occurs in shipping. We will try to keep it with you by troubleshooting with you initially and send out parts if we can diagnose the issue if easily repairable. Otherwise we will arrange pickup and repair and resend at our expense.

        • +1

just another question about the b350 motherboard, will it come with the updated BIOS?

          • +1

@yuuur-hearrrd: If we use certain m.2 drives we need to update to the very latest for compatibility, but as a general rule we don't update to the very latest in normal practice.

  • Just wondering how long do these usually take to ship out?

    • +3

We're at around 7-8 business days to dispatch for the majority of systems. There are exceptions but that is the case for most.

      • +2

I can vouch for this. Mine come in 8 business days since first ordered, eventhough I purchase upgrades after.

      • Hi Luke it's been 11 days and my order still hasn't been shipped. Could you help to check what the delay is?

  • @luketechfast I'm trying to get this with zippay, just made a zip-pay acc

Total comes out 1528. I have $800 in my debit card and zippay can cover me for $1000.. however, when i try to pay for the difference for the $528 it does not follow through, saying 'Unfortunately this order cannot be processed as the purchase amount is too high for your account limit. Please complete your order with an alternative payment method.'

here's the zippay FAQ on covering difference with an alternative payment method

pls help, i got a cutie and he plays mad csgo. i miss playing csgo so badly when i was in highschool and i just want to feel that youth again. I dont wan't to lose this offer TT
(also just wanna flex how BAD I am at video games so that he can teach me ;) )

    • Howdy, might be more for a discussion over PM but I believe you'll need to contact Zip for this as we don't handle any of the split payment on our end.

  • Went out of stock while I was still researching components etc. Look forward to the next techfast deal though, as the systems suit my attitude of "I just want something simple and reasonably priced, to play the latest games".
