  • Shipping!? Who knows how much because you have to sign up and log in…hmmm.

  • any 'independent' reviews on whether this is any good ?

I'd like to have a body like jake, rather than joffa…

    • They are crap, pure & simple. I have used many brands of machines (Nautilus, & so on) over the years in different gyms & they only get used to give you some variety from free weight training. It's free weights that are the best for strength training & muscle growth. Serious weight training involves training with weights.

Home use machines like this just do not have the resistance load you need to build muscle. You might tone up a little. But I wouldn't predict any serious benefit from a system that uses 'power bands' or some other weak resistance of that nature. Even machines found in the gym use weight stacks, not 'cords', 'springs' or 'bands'. Any machine using those kinds of systems to deliver resistance are just rubbish.

Like the saying goes 'no pain no gain'. Sorry but it is the truth. You can't get any decent muscle growth without straining the muscles involved. The guys in those ads could never get huge like they are with this machine. They would be using free weights (& possibly Bulgarian Horse steriods like Guido Hatzis.)

I'd be frightened of using a device that basically consisted of ocky straps wedged into a door frame…that cocktail is just courting disaster IMHO! Randy Couture might be brave enough, but I'd be forever worried about the whole mousetrap rabbit punching me when it came loose or broke! :o

Randy Couture might be brave enough

Does using this device make you feel like Randy ???

  • Any difference with the one on eBay? It's cheaper on eBay. Here is one of them:

  • I use an Everlast one, but its non-door attachable. But the bad side is that, when the cord decides to snap after alot of working out, guess whose gonna cop the smack?
