    I grabbed 4x$500 for myself

    • How much is their HOYTs e-ticket could you check?

      • $16 adult. Many cheaper options out there at the moment.

        • I am not aware of these cheaper options! Could you post the cheapest that you’ve seen please? Been wanting to go to the movies this week.

        • Thanks. Yeh.. pretty lame.

    • Did you check the delivery timeline with them? Just want to confirm if everyone get the same timeline. They told me that it will take much longer than 28 working days to process the order.

  • Grabbed 1 x $500, thanks!

  • 3 year expiry for those wondering.

    • +7

      No expiry date actually.

      https://giftcards.woolworths.com.au/help

Woolworths Gift Cards have no expiry date.

Gift cards issued after 31 March 2017 now come with no expiry date. (Excl. Returns Cards and Frequent Shopping Cards)

is there any cheapest way to be member of this ?

    • +15

https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/sony-in-ear-mdre9lpp-pink-hea… for $10 + $30 for 3 years gold extras. it will also give you 12 lots of $20 store credit over the 3 years.

      • So $40
Gets you $240 store credit over 3 yrs by default?

        • +4

My mistake it’s $20 x 3 times per year x 3yrs = $180 when you sign up for Gold Extras. It also comes with price protection; insurance, peace of mind, and a few other things. I use my $20 to buy batteries / SD cards / or towards another more expensive item.

      • +4

For it to be even cheaper, once Brought together email Good guys - as Big W has them for $9- to get 120% back of difference($1.20 back)as store credit :P

          $14 now

      • +7

So.. I could get a membership for a total cost of $40, then go and buy $400 worth of WISH giftcards which would give me a $40 discount and effectively cover the cost of becoming a member? of course I can already get 5% off giftcards with cashback sites so I would need to buy $800 worth to break even!

        • Yuppzzz

      • Thanks. Just bought this, any idea how long until I get the email that the membership is active, I did click and collect, do I have to pick the item up first?

      • Does the membership active immediately after purchase? Maybe no point if it takes a few days, this deal might have ended.

        • Yep, no point joining if it takes 2 weeks to activate.

        • I can't remember how long it took to activate. But they do have these deals periodically so if you join now you will be ready for the next one.

        • I'm going to be so upset if they drag their feet & all the Woolies cards get sold out.

          • @vikvance: How'd you go? Received the activation email yet? I just placed an order

            • @RickoWest: I placed an order last night, and got the email early this morning that my headphones are ready to be picked up, but there's nothing about the concierge service.

      • how long does it take for it to become active?

      • Do the store credits expire or can you accumulate and use them together in one go?

        • They expire very quickly. Within 5 days of receiving the credit.

Also they can't be used on certain brands (Apple is one of them) which Good Guys select at their discretion.

More details on the store credits here:

just takes like 6 weeks or more for them to arrive im still waiting

    • +1

Even if we select registered post?

      • +1

Yes. I'm still waiting on delivery from the last time this deal was on. I placed my order 2 Aug.
How anything can take this long to deliver - especially a gift card - is beyond me.

    Only $100, $250 & $500 are 10% off
other face value are 5% off

  • +7

All this proves is that Woolworths operates on very high margins

    • +9

Seeing as you can see the margin Woolworths operate, I’m not sure why you needed more proof?
Each year they release an annual report detailing their precise profit.

      • What is their margin on retail goods? I assume it's over 200% for many things, or regular 1/2 price items with giftcards wouldn't be profitable.

    • Nope besides the obvious competition the thinking person would question why a 2k limit .

    • If you read this thread above, you may notice that some people have started thinking how to join Good Guys Concierge. This is the purpose of this move, not related to Woolies margin at all. When you get a free yogurt on street, do you think it is free to produce? 😁
PS I agree, Woolies has high margins.

      • I disagree. "high" in this instance implies relative rather than absolute.

Woolies has different margins on supermarkets, alcohol, petrol (when it used to be in that business) and so on.

Supermarket margins are much lower being a volume business.

One of the earlier posters was correct - you can see exactly what woolies margins (and Coles as well) are as this is part of their asx statements being a publically listed company.

In the specific point about margins.. Woolies margins are a lot lower than say.. Apple. or Google… or Bunnings!

  • The added sugar is 5% off Coles eGiftcards (only for Coles). Unlike woolies, it’s a PDF with a barcode, which you scan at the flybuys scanner (rather then input all the numbers) & enter a pin. So it’s really easy.

And they have 5% off Coles-Myer physical cards,

    • +1

I've had trouble scanning these ones whereas have never had trouble with the Suncorp or RACQ ones. Have had to get the transaction suspended and then pay at the service counter where they have a gun that scans it no worries.

      • Weird I never have an issue scanning from my phone. Well except when I have a brain fart & try to use the normal scanner. I just wish they had an app like woolies (the balance is nice, but I just rename it on google drive each time with the balance)

        • it's bloody annoying lol. Especially as every other bar code scans from my phone. I love the Woolworths money app it makes life so much easier. I found with the vouchers bought from Concierge that if you go back to your email and download the card before use it updates the balance available.

          • +1

@shoppertrina: You can regenerate the barcodes by manually entering into Google pay - those barcodes work 100%, just.. you gota enter it in :\

            • @cwongtech: how do you do it? what number do i need to enter into google pay?

              • @hihi: The monster number that starts with 9801, Card Number.
Can't copy and paste it unfortunately

            • @cwongtech: Oh thanks for the tip!
I just copy & pasted the barcode numbers in from the PDF.
If only they could auto-update the balance

              • @[Deactivated]: I just checked - the PDF that gets downloaded for conciergerewards coles updates with the current balance (didn't know)

  • No $500 cards left. It's an extra $5.50 if you want registered post or free for regular post. Also quite a wait to receive them, so far I've waited 3 weeks to receive a Coles one from them. But if you missed out on the Ebay deal then 10% off is a bloody good deal.

    • I was going to hold off as nothing yet from last one but with that news I'm firing .

Update still $500's there but a little lower :)

    • Yes they’re pretty slow sending them out. I think there’s only a few staff handling orders.

    • Oops missed the second page. $500 ones are still there.

    • 10% off Ebay UK deal is still on (one hour left)
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/482679

      • Not everyone was able get the Ebay UK deal to work.

I tried for over 2 hours to link and pay using Paypal, but I can't.

  • I went ok on the UK deal until they started blocking devices and I changed devices . Eventually they block payment but by this time achieved good orders through .

  • Wait, is there a limit on this!?

    • Some rule of 2k max per mth if not abided by may not be eligible for future offers .

  • you no last long time

  • Got $1k worth thanks OP

  • So I paid for the concierge thing but how do I use it? It doesn't send me any information.

    EDIT:

So my idiot self forgot to login to my Good Guys account before I ordered the earphones and now the membership is tied to nowhere lol.

    EDIT:

So I called up and was transferred a few times but I was told I would not be able to tie my order to my account and that the Concierge service won't be useable until 24 hours after I've picked up my order.

    • that's the concierge fair use policy

Pagasus still has the same 2k.
      https://s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/myrewards-media/webr…

Anyone purchasing less then $2k should receive there gift cards straight away, if you don't, I would complain to good guys.

the last deal had 28 working days for all orders which is a joke.

  • grabbed $500 cheers

  • This is the response I got when I inquired about my 3rd August order…

"We have had a little delay with receiving our stock. We are hoping to receive stock early next week."

  • I signed up this morning for gg concierge, I assume it'll take 24 hours before my details are emailed through by this time the wish promo will be over :(

  • My issue is I lose track of gift cards, I need to create a Folder 😬

    • +1

      Use the app

    • +1

I think backup on a Ipod with no internet access . Learned that from the FBI raids on all of Trumps Goons that somehow had multiple Ipods .

    • I'm using an Android app called "Gift Card Balance".

      • Google pay has an option to store your Woolies gift cards.

  • Will these concierge gift cards for Woolworths be regular? If so I might become a member.

  • +1

Went down to the local Good Guys today to pick up my online order, and it was quite an experience.

Spent 30 minutes waiting in queue, then another 15 minutes picking up my order, during which I had to fill out a paper form and then wait while the person at the counter repeatedly went off to double-check things with his supervisor.

No wonder they take 6 weeks to send out the gift cards, if this is how they operate.

    • You could say the price was "unbelievable".

  • +2

Okay, so I just discovered that I can activate my Concierge rewards membership & go ahead & buy the gift cards.

I'm not sure if it's because around 24 hours have passed since I bought the headphones, or because I picked up the order, but whatever the reason, when I clicked on "Sign In" and then "Activate" from the "Go to Deal" link at the top of this page, and then entered my email address, I discovered that my account was ready to be activated.

I got no extra email from Good Guys to confirm my Concierge service activation, so if anyone else is in a similar position, then they should go ahead & try activating their membership too.

    • Where do I activate the concierge membership? From the good guys website or concierge the good guys page?

    • Thanks Vikvance, this worked for me!

never received an email from TGG

  • Grabbed 13 * $500 for whole year use…. Saying need approval to process because of fair use term… Not sure if it will get approved.

    • Update: I receive the confirmation from TGG saying my order will be processed but it will take longer than 28 working days…

    • -1

Hmmmm normally the big guys I know will do their biz secretly .

Do you want a medal for possibly @ ing up the FPP for everyone ?

Brain storming I would fired on 3 ac's but that too difficult to come up with .

      • +2

I even do not understand what is your point. This is not a property or something luxury, but just gift card for normal grocery. How can it be related to big guys or medal? Almost everyone spends more than 6500 in grocery every year so what is wrong that I bought 6500 gift card?

  • +1

Missed it, now it's back to 5% off

  • Ordered 2 cards, but haven't received any emails about updates.. is this normal?

    • +3
