Greetings everyone, just spotted this over at HUKD.

You can get 10% off sitewide @ eBay UK via App and works on gift cards!

Instructions:

  1. Open the eBay app and log in to your eBay UK account.
  2. Go to the 3 lines at the top left and go to Settings.
  3. Go to Country/Region and change your country to UK
  4. Add item to cart and apply the coupon "PLAYAPP"

You will need to make a new account if you don't have an eBay UK account yet. And then put a UK address as your primary address when you sign up and change it to Australia afterwards to be able to add the gift cards to cart.

      After creating a new eBay UK account with a random UK address, I had to then use the desktop site to change my postal address to my actual Australian address and link my PayPal account. These steps can both be done by going to 'MyEbay' > 'Account' tab. Then follow OPs instructions as normal. Hope this helps!

    IMO it's too risky to do this to save $89 while ebay suspending accounts front and centre. Plus never do this if you have gift cards loaded in any of your ebay accounts.

      You might need to install a free VPN app on the phone, then change your location to UK. If you have Android 'Tunnelbear' is easy to use. But I'd read the message a few up by Sharp first if I were you.

          I'd have to be sitting watching to know what's going on… Maybe uninstall the app, reinstall the UK version (if there is one). If not, then install the ebay app AFTER changing country using a VPN. And you probably need a new ebay account with UK address as others have said earlier/above - then change to AU address later. But again, make sure you understand you could lose ALL your ebay accounts doing this. (Others have.)

      Got the same message. Used this account successfully last time around.
      Also after a few tries it asked me to verify my paypal details and then for some reason removed paypal payment option altogether, and adding a credit card doesn't work either.

      Split into multiple transactions if multiple types of cards (remember 3 max & minimum per order). Dunno why but worked for me.

        Got the same issue when trying to get $750 worth of WWS gift card.

        Tried a few different options including changing to credit card payment but no luck.

        End up buying $500 worth and both paypal and ebay app were happy.

          Nah shouldnt have to. Make sure your postage address is set back to australia but your country/region is the uk. Should work
