Greetings everyone, just spotted this over at HUKD.

Instructions:

  1. Open the eBay app and log in to your eBay UK account.
  2. Go to the 3 lines at the top left and go to Settings.
  3. Go to Country/Region and change your country to UK
  4. Add item to cart and apply the coupon "PLAYAPP"

You will need to make a new account if you don't have an eBay UK account yet. And then put a UK address as your primary address when you sign up and change it to Australia afterwards to be able to add the gift cards to cart.

      Usually takes anywhere from 5 minutes up to 12+ hours going from past experience. I've had one time where they cancelled after almost 48 hours but that isn't a common thing to happen.

        Yes. The Woolworths is just branding. See here.

        They display as 'Wish eGift Card' once added to Woolworths Money.

        The email also states "Woolworths WISH Gift Cards have no expiry date and are redeemable at participating stores only"

      No. Purchase are taken from AU retailer so no foreign txn fees

      Not certain, but I ordered a small item from ebay UK the other day. The seller was in the USA, but had the same item listed on multiple country ebay sites. The UK ebay listing had the lowest AUD price - and I knew I'd have to pay an international fee anyway, if I bought it from his USA listing. So I bought it using the UK listing, showing the lower AUD price. I was charged an international transaction fee.

        $89 cap is for single transaction only champ.

        You can still make upto 3 transactions and have max $89*3=$267 discount per account

    Made 2 separate transactions. The first one went through immediately and received the gift cards within 10 mins. But the second transaction says that 'Your payment is pending' and no fund has been withdrawn from my credit card yet. Logged into my Paypal account but no sign of that transaction. I have used the same Paypal account for both transactions. Has anyone had the same issue before? Should I just wait till the payment gets cleared or contact the ebay support?

    I changed country to UK and able to add gift card in cart but when using PayPal it says can't process payment. They asked for code to be verified but still doesn't process payment.

    Then tried credit card and same story can't process payment…☹️☹️☹️☹️

            @banzini: I managed to get it after few trials, here are the steps…

            Sign out of Ebay app.
            then in phone setting go to ebay app and remove catch and data
            then restart phone
            then open ebay app
            now before you try to sign inn, change country to UK and disable auto-detect
            now sign into your ebay UK account
            now don't be greedy just buy 2 gift cards (except ebay) worth max. $500
            now use paypal sign inn and then add discount code
            now pay….!
            it worked for me once only :)

            then I tried to buy more as second transaction then app didn't allow me to pay using paypal or credit card.

            I received both gift card within 5 minutes….!

            don't risk buying Ebay gift card as they can lock you or suspend the balance so instead try others such as Woolworths ! :)
