I've used the K400 quite successfully with Android TV using a unifying dongle. It allows you to use a bunch of games/apps that require a mouse/keyboard/touch, including a bunch that I sideloaded like Settlers of Catan, Scotland Yard, Carcassonne.

This says both Bluetooth and unifying in the description, plus a comprehensive range of OS's, so this should work with almost anything, at worst needing a Logitech unifying dongle.

The home and back buttons are good for Android.

    Bluetooth®
    Windows® 8, 10 and above
    macOS 10.12 and above
    WebOS (LG) v3.5 or later
    Tizen (Samsung) v2.4 or later
    Android 5.0 or later
    iOS 5 and later
    Unifying
    Windows® 7, 8, 10 or later
    macOS 10.11 and above
    WebOS (LG) v3.0 or later
    Tizen (Samsung) v2.4 or later
    Chrome OS™
USB port or Bluetooth low energy technology enabled device with keyboard support

    • I think K600 is more focused towards use with TV than K400. I suppose some of those extra features available on K600 would make life a lot easier with say Tizen which is not as adaptable as Android TV (no offence to Tizen users).

  • I bought one at $69 a month ago, normal price is $99. I can recommend this keyboard. I had it connected to my Samsung Smart TV, which makes it heaps easier to operate, especially when my wife use the internet or the kids search in YouTube.

It worked well with the Samsung TV, we bought in January, but it won't connect to the 65" Qled we bought 2 weeks ago?

Thanks OP, was exactly what I was waiting for!

  • Does anyone know if this works directly with an Xbox? Haven't been able to find a clear answer.

  • is there right/left click like the k400 ?

    • top left corners…

    • ALso I believe the circle dial is a single left click

Doesn’t look like it works with Sony Android TVs

    • UPDATE: works fine out of the box. Easy install. Loving this keyboard.

Also works on Mac mini without dongle.

  • Been using this with sony Kd8f android tv and life is so much easier now!!!
    Highly recommend this.

    • I have a Sony Bravia w800c I cant see if it is supported.

Also does the dongle have to be connected to a Mac computer to work? Sorry probably stupid question.

      • +1

Dongle is for devices that can't connect to it via Bluetooth. I use mine via dongle for my LG oled55b6t tv and via Bluetooth for my shield tv and Samsung galaxy tab s4. There's 3 connection memory to make it easy to swap.

      • +1

The dongle makes it just like any other ordinary USB keyboard.

Wonder if this will be a good keyboard for using in a Samsung Dex setup.

    Price beat with OW

  • Work with Kogan Android TV?

  • In for 1. Thanks.

Should make my couch PC gaming a bit easier.

  • I set up my 70 inch tv as a pc monitor, is this one any good?

    • It will work. Otherwise, for gaming, I have my Corsair k63 wireless with lapboard and a Razer Naga chroma wireless.

I would have considered buying this if it was back-lit, comes in very handy at night.

I bought the K830 last year on an Ebay sale for $90. Not a fan of the key style but it does the job and good for the price.

    • This looks great! Hopefully i see it for under $100 somewhere…

  • Stupidest thing ever seen a round touchpad.

    • +1

I thought it was silly and then I bought one. It's designed to be gripped like a controller on either side which is why the touchpad is round. You have easy access keys for your thumbs on either side when it's gripped like a controller.

Then you can lay it flat and use it as a regular keyboard at other times. It's unusual, but not so bad when used like this.

      • Its just like your TV or monitor is square, then trying to use a round touchpad? How do you get into the corners like to hit the start button even?? Then you look at it and there's space for it to be square.. I would even bet if you peeled off the cover there's a good chance undernear there is a square touchpad because that would be much cheaper than having a factory make dedicated round touchpads… So its just a stupid gimmick that reduces function for looks.

        • +1

Have you used a touchpad before? It's not like a touchscreen, you use it to push the cursor around.

          • @ssquid: Yes I have the K830 currently and had the K400 in the past. Obviously have used laptops as well.

            • +2

@deelaroo: Well then I'm at a loss as to why you'd think it's impossible to get the cursor into the corners of the screen with a round touchpad.

              • @ssquid: I don't think its impossible, like I get how it would work, it just seems stupid vs. a square one.

  • Thanks! picked up the last one from perth cbd.

  • Wondering if this will work with Vodafone TV?

    • It should since its Android and if its has bluetooth

    • I would like to know this too. It should work but is there a dedicated button that be used/configured to go to Live TV (like on the Vodafone TV remote).

I am everything else will be without issues.

Priced matched at Harvey, was surprised they even did it. The guy jokingly said "wow that's a great deal, that event $20 less than our staff pricing"

    • Shame they don't beat by a percentage as well!

  • +2

I also Priced Matched at Officeworks $49.16 (with their price beat deal). The checkout operator said "That's a pretty good price", "yep" i said :)

    • Nice!

    • +2

theyre fast bc its the same price now :)

      • I wonder if there stock/POS system alerts them if they have used price matching to then let them know of competitor price beats…. Either that or their back office monkeys surf OzBargain all day :)

        • Now think why Amazon did not Pricematch ?

  • can i use this on my dell laptop and sumsang tablet?

    • Yes. Works on any android or windows device, both over Bluetooth or via the included dongle.

  • +2

picked up one a few weeks back at full price.

no complaints at all great product

  • Officeworks has dropped its price as well to $51.75 with few stock available.

  • Does anyone know why the US compatibility checker lists recent Sony Bravia models as compatible, but the AUS compatibility checker doesn't? Can anyone with a recent Bravia attest to the device having full functionality with their TV?

    • +1

Works fine. Haven’t fully tested every feature yet.
      I have Bravia w800C
