thats true, this steering wheel hasn't dropped in price as quick as some of us would have liked.

but for those that want a good wheel and have been waiting a price drop, i don't think it will be cheaper than this for quite a while

Oh Horatio, how I've missed you. :)

On a side note, whenever someone says "its my first, so please go easy on me," I get lots of kinky ideas.

        • +1

took the words right out of my mouth, I always think of correcting them and saying go steady on me
damn now this sounds sort of kinky as well

        • yeah i can see you're point, just didn't want to get shot down for incorrect structure etc, so chucked it in so i get a bit of leeway haha

  • Awesome wheel. Great price too. Shipping for this thing alone would be about $50.

  • I really really really really want one of these! But I'm an Xbox 360 user :(

    • Did you know there's a converter known as the XCM F-1 Converter? Apparently allows a G25/27 to be used with a 360. Haven't been able to find a decent review for it however, and would be a rather expensive experiment for you. Still, just putting the info out there…

      • I heard this doesn't allow you to use Force Feedback/Rumble/Shifter only 270 degrees of rotation.

Something like that anyway - At any rate I remember it didn't really work in a way that I thought was worth buying.

        • yeah i was looking into it. it cant be that hard to develop an adaptor for 360

      • Yeah I've heard of it, but also heard that it doesn't really give full proper use.
        Unfortunate really.

  • This is a group buy deal? Says it needs 96 more buyers to be active….

    • Yes through ebay

      • so how is this different than the other non-active group buy deals that get knocked off here?

        • yeah i just realised its a group buy this morning, still it seems its going quick so if you want one you better get in quick. Another 47 left till it goes active and finishes im assuming

        • Now another 4 buyers needed. I just made a purchase. Huzzah!

        • Looks like the deal is now on! They've reached 150 buyers. Still another 100 left in stock.

        • yeah it didn't take long did it…Great price, if i didn't have a G25 i'd snap this up straight away, and because its free shipping it makes it an even sweeter deal!

Does GT5 fully support the G27

    I am reading it doesnt???

    http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Console-Gaming/G27-and-GT5/td-…

    • No it doesn't.

      • Well thats just crap

        • its not fully supported but everything will work as normal, you just need to change the controls via the other steering wheel profiles. I have the logitech G25 and all the functions work 100% including the clutch and 6 speed shifter.

    • It 'mostly' does.

Mostly in that it works 99% of the time, just some of the the facial buttons don't do anything, and you can't program them.

Clutch, shifter, force feedback, basically everything that counts, works perfectly. It's not simply just a crappy 'compatible' standard either. You can really feel the grip of the road, the pull of the wheel and vibration of the road noise like it was made for the wheel.

Only issue is sometimes the H-Shifter doesn't like to shift into second under certain speeds. You only notice it in very slow cars though. This is because of some anti-cheating measure that 'people could shift too quickly' that ended up having problems for the wheel. They could fix this in 2 seconds, but they don't because they want you to buy their 'officially licensed' wheel.

  • So what do you mean by not fully supported then?

    • its not an official wheel but all its functions will work

      • just a note, i have the G27 and all buttons and everything works fine on GT5, havent had any problems with it. didnt even change buttons/setup. just plugged in n played.

  • not all function works. you can't use the horn and switch wipers on GT5 with this G27 hahaa

    • But it does all the functions that are required:
      - it's a wheel, a very damn nice wheel
      - it has force feedback
      - control buttons work

    • Yes but it blows all the other 'official' wheels out of the water.

  • Just sold out.

  • Shipped already! Very impressed.

  • Spewing! Missed out.
What's the next best price out there?

    • try logitechshop.com.au they usually have the best price, should be around $360
