The subscription is for PyCharm, the best python IDE, well worth the full price. PyCharm also has the free community edition, which would be sufficient in many cases.
The subscription is essentially for upgrades, you can keep using the version released when you made the payment even after stopping the subscription.
Man still yet to start that free udemy course for python.
