Had this TV early this year when it was $1200 delivered from Bing Lee. Image processing and the user interface is sub par compare to LG and Sony’s. This one sells for almost 3K when released and now price fall to grace due to poor performance and low sales. HOWEVER, if you pair this with a Nvidia Shield or even Apple TV 4K.. it works like a charm.

      • Ozricoy, educate a dummy like me. Does image processing quality of a tv only matter when using internal applications eg built in Netflix. But if you're using an external device via HDMI, does that not matter? Eg would a Hisense and an LG OLED, both using the same LG panel, look just as good as each other using a NVIDIA shield for media?

        • "Does image processing quality of a tv only matter when using internal applications and using an external device via HDMI, does that not matter? "

          • Processors work more than just image processing itself. When using an HDMI such as a gaming console, a powerful processor ensures features like higher picture resolutions transition (such as 4K and 8K) and improved frame rates are handled smoothly and effectively. It also does well with motion smoothness.

          • Though they share the same panels, the difference maker will always be the AI/processor inside. Having an 'essential' streaming media player (Apple TV, shield etc) will only affect the UI (User interface) and depends on how friendly looking you want to interact with your TV, Hisense's VIDAA U 2.5 is slow and confusing, heck, Vodafone TV works better.

I tell you, the extra dollars i spent getting an LG from having a Hisense was all worth it. Hisense just didn't give me that 'OLED experience' compare to what LG is doing now.

    • I got one back in June for $1200 and reckon it's a great display for the money. I don't use its smart features, I have a Vodafone TV for that. Xbox One X content looks great on it, games and Ultra HD Bluerays. I went from a 2014 60" Samsung LED to this and don't regret it at all.

Predictions of a 15 to 20% drop in OLED prices for 2020 with new inkjet printing tech for manufacturing OLED. This price is tempting…but think worth the wait

Any good deals for Acer Predator X34?

Maybe, but this post is about a TV…Please don't hijack this post asking about a different product.

  • Anyone know how heavy these are? Thinking of putting it up in the bedroom on a ceiling mount hanging down pole thing

    • manufaturer spec has it at 20.5 without stand. Should be fine for a ceiling mount

    • Don't know why I never thought of doing that. Your on a winner here, that'll surely prevent any risk of severe neck cramps from watching porn for too long.
      Cheers

      • Imagine getting image retention in your screen from that 😂

        • That pornhub logo burnin. LOL
