Hey guys looks interesting. Can someone tell me what the game is about ?

    • +8

Pretty sure nobody knows yet. There's some delivery stuff, and ..?

    • +9

Walking a lot and pissing on mushrooms to make them grow. 10/10 IGN.

      • +8

Regardless of the commercial or critical success of Death Stranding (personally I think it will be very successful), I'm greatful that theres still some innovation and experimentation in an industry full of sequels, remakes and low budgets service fillers.

        • -1

There are alot of innovation and experiments. The only reason you getting this is cos kojima and the hype.

All the no name non sequels people skip over. You comment proves that.

            Examples, please.

Odd that you posted this and you're kind of talking crap about the game at the same time?

            • -6

@aja12: I dont have to like something for it to be a deal.

              Examples, please.

I dont eat lobsters, lobster $20 a kg. Is a deal.

No you don't, but this isn't a deal.

                • -4

@aja12: Its the cheapest for a product. How is it not a deal. Isnt most deals on here the cheapest of a product?

                  • +3

@Bryanalves: If someone is pre-ordering a Game, they obviously want the game asap on release day. That won't happen with Harvey Norman.

$68 at Amazon with expedited shipping, and unlike HN, you'll actually get the game on release day. It's cheaper with Cash Rewards factored in.

It's also $69 at Big W. 5% discounted Wish cards via Cash Rewards = $65.55.

So shipped, Harvey Norman is not the cheapest. Pick up, you most likely won't be able to even get the game on release day which entirely defeats the purpose of pre-ordering, and you can get it cheaper at Big W.

                    • @aja12: If you bringing gift cards in them why cant you get the 5% discounted harvey gift cards from agl or sunorp? Or use an amex offer to get even. cheaper gift cards.

Thats why i didnt concider gift cards when i made the deal.

                      • +1

@Bryanalves: Discounted Wish cards are available to anyone with a Cash Rewards account, which is completely free, so it’s available to everyone. Discounted HN gift cards via AGL or Suncorp are only available to people that hold accounts with those groups, so not available to everyone. See the difference? You’re also ignoring the other options I outlined, it wasn’t just Big W with Wish cards.

        • Same here. Managed to get my preorder of the Collector's edition which has sold out.

      • Hahaha had a little chuckle at this

You are a guy in a land looking for resources but you have a baby with you so you need to take care of it.

Also while looking after yourself like going to the toilet.

A group (likely corporation) wants to kill you so there's enemies around trying to kill you.

So you have weapons to defend yourself to survive.

        Without a truck

  • I assume a PC version is well off in the foreseeable future?

    • +2

      Ps4 exclusive

      • +1

the ps4 exclusivity is still pretty hit and miss. the information has been fairly vague since the game was announced and pc was mentioned as a platform it will release on. realistically it's a temporary exclusive

        • I tend to agree with this. Haven't seen any "only on PS4" signage on the mock up cases.

Much like how everyone thought Crash N Sane was going to be a PS4 exclusive, despite no printed proof on the case

          • @Ninternet: but then on the contrary, sony funded game, sony engine… i'm still betting it will come to pc though (i hope…)

      • Not anymore. It's coming to PC.

  • I would never pre-order a game from Harvey Norman again after I preordered gta 5 on 360 and they simply ran out of stock due to customers coming in wanting to buy even tho I had preordered mine weeks ago. That was a more demanding game (no offense death stranding) plus also 6 or so years ago, is probably better now.

    • I'm pretty sure it says on the HN website when preordering a game with delivery, "will be despatched 3-5 days after release". Something stupid like that. Defeats the purpose of preordering then.

When they had the awesome deal on sekiro and days gone for like $52, I was contemplating changing my amazon preorder to HN but then I saw the note of the despatch time. Amazon matched it anyways.

Edit: its 2-4 business days after release. Then plus the time it actually takes to get to you.

On Pre-Order: Typically dispatched in 2-4 business days after the release date.

  • +1

I'd be so nervous preordering this game and not wait for some reviews - it looks really risky as so far just a bunch of walking around…

Sure it's Kojima… But man, it could go either way this game

    • It could honestly be the worst reviewed game in history and I would still buy it day 1 (unless a pc version gets confirmed). Bad reviews would actually make me want it more.

      • I could see this game polarising many (based on what I've seen). I do honestly hope it's good and you enjoy it. I usually like games that are "different"/pushing the boundaries too.

  • +6

Harvey Norman are shocking at actually having stock of preorders on release day. Get it from Amazon for the same price delivered (less with Cash Rewards) on release day, or pay an extra $1 and walk in to JB on release day.

  • +1

Would better off pre ordering from Amazon due to it's Pre order price guarantee in case the price goes down after reviews shows up a week before the release. Also, you'll receive the game in your doorstep on day of release too.

    • +1

So with pre-order price guarantee, they will charge you the lower price if Amazon drop it lower than the current $68, provided the price is changed prior to release date?

      • Yes.

  • +1

This is standard new release pricing, if anything it's a bad price.

aka Dixon & Son Walking Simulator

  • Even though the story looks intriguing, since I don't like the MGS series, I probably wouldn't enjoy this one either. I'll give it a pass.

    • Knowing Kojima, the story will be batshit insane. I'll wait for the reviews before buying.
