Feel like the other one from yesterday is definitely worth considering for $220 more for better/newer processor, double the ram, better MB and much bigger SSD:

    • Ryzen 5 3600
    • RTX 2080 Super
    • 16GB 2400MHz RAM
    • B350 MB
    • 750W 80+ Bronze PSU
    • 480GB 2.5" SSD
    • Leaper Pro White or Esports Pro Black (limited) Case

    Price: $1649

    • This, especially because of the RAM and bigger SSD. 120GB is nothing nowadays.

Saw a 2080 super being sold for like 1050-1100 the other day by evatech

        • Yes you are correct. $1049 and then 11.10 delivery I bought one. 2 day delivery to sydney!

    • If you want to play Borderlands 3 at or above 60FPS @ 1440p resolution it is :P

      • My 2070 super sits at 63fps/hz free-synced with very little deviation at ultra settings

Thanks BA! The base spec 2080 system is designed to offer the GPU and CPU for the lowest price to those who want it - some folks add their own gear in, plenty are happy with the lowest spec/price point, so we're catering to everyone (last year, base spec R5/2080 system was our biggest seller). But yep we do have higher spec configurations now too so there's plenty to choose from.

    • how r u able to sell for this cheap? r u buying directly from factory and evading the massive middleman tax?

      • if he told you he'd have to kill you ;)

  • What brand 2080 S is it?

Hi Luke, any 3600 / 5700xt build coming up?

  • If I have intention of playing VR games (intending to use HTC Vive) but I'm not extremely fussy about extreme gaming, should I get one with GTX 2080 Super or would 5700XT be sufficient enough? I'm leaning toward the ones with 5700XT since it's cheaper, but just wanted to get second opinion just in case

    • 5700XT would be fine for casual VR gaming. I've played on a regular 1070 and it handles most games pretty well.

      • Sounds good, I'll get the 5700xt one then

  • Am I better off buying one of these and a Bluetooth remote for casual gaming? Or just picking up a PS4 or whatever the latest console is?

Huge price difference between this deal and any latest gen console. It depends if you are willing to fork out $1400 for casual gaming..

  • I only just noticed this today. I'm not sure if its the white case retaining heat or if there's so much stuff inside but it's under my desk in open space, and it's making the back of my knees sweat. I also have a warm breeze blowing upwards towards me. Shame it's not freezing anymore. Anyone else experiencing this with theirs? I almost want my old PC back :(

Sounds pretty normal for a gaming PC? If hot air is going out, it's not being kept in the case, which is a good thing!

      • Do you think so? My last one was a gaming PC and wasn't like this. The side that the motherboard is on was super warm to touch. That's the part that got me scared! hehe. Last night we pointed a fan at it lol

        • A lot of people point fans at their PC. Some even turn on the AC for their PC's, had a mate who did that. Techfast's builds run hot since they compromise on cooling and airflow to get the absolute lowest price. You'll need to take the system out and put it in another case, and install fans, if you don't want it to emanate heat. Techfast's is unlikely to work.
