            @Jasongood: I just tried again and mine doesn't even validate via SMS anymore :( it just logs into PayPal and then it 'grays out' and says it's not available as a payment method, with the message "We ran into a problem and PayPal isn't available right now. Please select a different payment option."

              @ts13: Ya mine all done in the browser pop up window, sorry should make it clearer. After answer the 5th prompt the box closed itself, the Paypal option grey out, then I went on to call Paypal to fix that.

    First time I was bother doing these other region giftcard deals, always through too much effort… proven correct. Signed up added WW GC to account, discount applied but can’t get PayPal or CC payment to work on eBay…

    Did ozbargainers put in that much transaction that it’s throwing red flags for eBay…

      It just doesn't work for some people. I don't know why. None of these deals have worked for me.

      There must be something else, that's not very obvious. Something that the others have done that we haven't done, or something that we did that we shouldn't have done.

      I doubt $450 will get the $91 off…

      The original deal was:
      £250 or more and receive £25 off
      It seems to have glitched and it's giving us 50 pound off 250…

      250 pound is about AU$460, so I suspect with $450 you will only get you the 25 pound, AU$46 off…

      Add them to your cart, go to checkout and apply the code, and see…

      can i ask what did you ask? because there is no order record in my paypal account for them to verify anything. I tried to pay with paypal but after login paypal popup just closes and ebay asks me to use another payment method

        The guy I spoke to knew exactly what was up and said he had received about 30 of this exact call already. He sent an SMS and got me to read the code and 7 seconds later it worked. The problem I was having the PayPal payments were greyed out and I couldn't select them. Good luck gang.

        Mine was the same . Called PayPal and they said they blocked the transaction for security issues. She said she wasn't sure if she could help me but will "try". Sent me a code to repeat back to her . Then it all worked.

    The guy on the phone knew what was going on, he told me it was about a 50/50 shot he could get it to go through cause they're getting thousands of calls. Transaction went through though after he sent me a verification code.

    Without reading 7 pages of comments,why is everyone calling PayPal?

    I paid via CC, $500. Had to set up a new account, and a little stuffing around setting up. A little nervous as payment is still pending? But it went through….

      Expect anything pending on CC payment to be cancelled. Seems only PayPal payments work, and that's if PayPal allows your transaction to go through. Hence the calls due to transactions failing…

    Only 1/3 of my $500 orders went through, the other two shows up as 'Your payment is pending'. Paid all three transactions with Paypal. I called Paypal and the lady on the phone said it was eBay's problem, she wasn't helpful at all.

    After being on hold with Paypal for 40 mins finally got through. Did the 2 transactions one was for my British wife's UK Ebay account which went through fine, the other one they took my money but now my account is suspended and don't think i'll be getting the gift cards :(

          But best to read the advice already in this Deal.
          There are quite a few issues, so we can always learn from others.

          Make sure you followed all the steps to set up a UK ebay account, etc.

          Looks like that's the wrong code.

          Telling us the code is wrong is not the best way to ask for help, if that's what you want.

          As the code has been used in hundreds / thousands of purchases over nearly 8 hours - I don't think it's an issue with the code.

          Did you enter the minimum purchase amount for the code? These matters have already been discussed.

    So what the person on Paypal told me is that it seems some accounts are limited as they are classified under high-risk (could be too new or too infrequent/unusual patterns) such that these transactions are being blocked. There is a particular option/verification feature on certain accounts that let the phone agents remove this particular limit such that transactions be approved but if your account doesn't have that option when the agents are going through it, you're SOL as there's really nothing else they can do.

    Oh well, at least my Canadian account is fine (10 year old account versus my 6 month old Australian one).

        Calling because we can't even use Paypal to checkout, it's greyed out and tells us to call Paypal (at least I got that red comment). If we use CC, usually get rejected. It's not eBay account based, it's Paypal account based.
