Need to Return or Sell Wish Gift Card

I bought Wish Gift card intending to buy something (worth $140). Don't require it anymore. I dont think they will accept returns. What are my options though? I would like to have $140 back in my account as cash.

    You can sell it but you won’t get the full $140 with it if you sell it online.

    Can’t you just do your shopping with it? It lasts a while, surely you’ll spend $140 at the supermarket over the next two years? Or petrol? Otherwise try and sell it to a friend for face value.

      this.

  • You can:
    -> Put it on Gumtree/Facebook or in the classified section (for less than $140)
    -> Save it for later
    -> use it on groceries/alcohol/petrol

    just buy groceries at woolies with it. You'll use it all up in no time.

  • Or top up your opal card if u use public transport (or ask friends if you can top up for them)

    Sorry for being noob. I thought I have to use 140 in one go!!

        Yes and they don't have an expiry date if you bought it after the 31st March 2017. If you print out a paper receipt after using the gift card, the remaining gift card balance will be printed on the receipt.

      • Thanks!! I didn't know this. I can use it for petrol and groceries then. Thanks mate.

    • Yes! For any giftcard you dont have to use the full amount at once, can use it over a period. Usually you can check the balance left online, or it will be stated on the receipt. Or the person at the checkout will also be able to tell you the balance incase you forget!

      Also grab the Woolies Money app and add it to there, can keep an eye on the balance and have it handy for when you need it.

      Won't take long to get through $140 as you can use Wish cards at any of the Woolies owned brands.

  • I am sure you had your reasons, but I don't understand why you would buy a gift card for yourself for $140 - why not just buy the item you wanted?
    Unless of course yo u are trying to game the system in that you bought the $140 gift card at a discount and now want $140 cash for it?

      To get further savings since Gift cards are usually discounted and there's currently an eBay UK deal where you can get a very significant discount.

      • Wtf, I missed that deal! :(

    • I initially bought this gift card to buy Boost plan from BIG W. Later realized that this cannot be bought using gift cards. Also, I was under the assumption that I need to spend $140 in one go, comments above explained that it's not the case.
