    While full size cabin bags are great for international flights, I believe they are technically too large for domestic use. If you mainly travel locally and are not a high level frequent flyer the staff may make you check it in.

      Its fine for Qantas (excluding Dash 8) but 7 cm too long for Virgin, I have one and have not had an issues with it being taken onboard for both Virgin and Qantas.
