      that corner is half a year away, besides, apple store still rips you off for 999, and deals from gumtree ain't worth the trouble if they are still carrier locked (but they love to lie to you all the time)

      The iPhone 6 is due next year. Might not be worth getting the 5. Seriously, every time someone posts an Apple bargain there's at least one post warning people not to buy. I bought a MacBook in January this year despite people telling me a new model was due within weeks. 7 months later, still nothing.

    IMO you should only ever buy an iPhone at release.

    The price of an iPhone does not go down very much unlike other phones, so buying it months after release is a bad idea as it just brings you closer to the next iPhone release.

      you should only buy an iPhone at release if your wallet permits so.

      buying any electronics months after release is fine as long as you're not paying RRP anymore.

        I think that's fair enough if an iPhone is your first purchase as you might be upgrading from a horrible phone.

        But if you already own an old iPhone, its not that hard to wait until the next release.

    Well these deals always come when the new hardware is set to be released and replace the old, it makes sense but also good to be aware that what your paying hundreds of dollars for willl be replaced or has been replaced by something a better

    good deal. iphones are still great for the majority of people who dont even know what that an OS also runs on phones (not to mention trying the explain what an 'android' is); there are many people out there who wouldnt have a clue or even care.

    iPhone 3GS is even cheaper though!

    Iphone 5 is more expensive than iphone4, however, I found the general system funtion in the two iphones are used in the same way. Don't know why iphone 5 is so expensive.
