ADATA XPG Spectrix D41 RGB 3200MHz 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Red $129 + Delivery (Free Pick-up) @ PCCG

70

Just spotted this deal at PCCG. Already pulled the trigger. Looks a bit hideous but this is nearly the price of a 3000Mhz kit and this one has RGB (for that +100fps).

Specs:

Speed: PC4-25600
CL16-18-18
Voltage: 1.35V
Heat Sink Color: Crimson Red

Edit: A bunch of other ADATA memory kits/storage are on sale as well: https://www.pccasegear.com/search?query=ADATA%20XPG%20Spectr…

      3200 Is it's overclock.

      • -3

        No, it's sold as 3200Mhz.

The "value" is finding cheap sticks that can overclock past their XMP speed.

Users should note that spending money on fast RAM is a waste of money compared to spending that money on faster CPU and/or GPU where significant performance gains can be made unlike any RAM they can buy. Until you have the fastest CPU/GPU possible you should be looking at 2133Mhz or the cheapest.

Not really. If it's a Ryzen CPU then definitely then 2666Mhz should be your minimum and 3000/3200 should be the sweet spot. I have tried it with my machine and the difference between 2133Mhz ram and 2933Mhz ram is night and day (somewhat 30% performance/fps drop).

          • @hanke: 2700x and a Tomahawk Max mobo is all I have in terms of internals right now. I was looking at 5700XT but now I'm thinking I'll spend a bit more and buy a 2080 Super instead. What Ram would you suggest to go with those specs? (Also bought a Cooler Master 500P Mesh case yesterday if that makes any difference)

            • @[Deactivated]: If you’re not planning on overclocking then just get anything with the look that you like, with 3000/3200mhz clock speed and CAS Latency around 14-16. This kit could be a good choice. I have ordered this one.
