  • What do you get for the $20?

    • Everything listed here

  • for 1 month then you need to do it all over again.. no thanks

That's how prepaid usually works, you can however prepay with Boost for 6 or 12 months should you choose. If you would rather pay month to month then setup an auto-recharge - easy?

for 1 month then you need to do it all over again..

or you can top up to any of the their plans.

  • My experience with Boost . I rate as dismal.
calls always at 3G dropped out, poor quality.
    data was good speed.
    Brisbane metro.
went with yesterdays OW vodafone deal

    Cheers

What phone do you use? I switched from Vodafone (Pixel 2) to get VoLTE and RCS messages. Since switching I'm finding the quality difference between Vodafone and Telstra HD calls to be night and day.

I've been with them for 6 months now and don't have any issues…

  • Still waiting for mine to activate. It's been 8 days now. 8 days of no phone service >:(

    • Why? If the port hasn't gone through your 'old' telco should be working fine until it cuts over.

      • I was told there was an 'outage'. Mine took 5 days, but they gave me a month and 20Gb for free as compo…

        • "jv" was that your port 6 months ago, or a different number?

          • +1

@ozhunter68: no, another number… my first one was 6 months ago. that only took a few hours.

            • @jv: Thought so. Changes in procedure/regulations in last month or so and Boost heavily affected 2-3 weeks now, most likely compounded with many deals on here lately and getting Porting Ozbargained lol.

      • no credit left

have you spoken to their porting team? They many need to put in a new porting request.

      • Yes, they did it twice now. Still waiting…

        • +3

keep records and ask for credit as compo when it's done.

When mine took 4 hrs I rang them and you have to put your
port out SIM in to get an SMS code to finish the handover.
Good idea to mention this in their SIM instructions.

      • This is the worst tel company ever I had to work with.
Application 4 September, 12 phone calls were made with waiting time average more than 60minutes.
They sent me a text with a new mobile number (I am about to lose the one I liked it with Kogan network)
        Very bad

Webchat is way quicker… only takes a few minutes on average.

Can't say any Telco has really good customer service these days, mainly depends on mood on the day and how you speak to them.

But reading many Boost posts lately it sounds like Boost is going through a down patch, maybe more a reflection of their technical porting changes/hassles and angry customers feeling rightly not happy.

        • Unfortunately their live chat, phone support and porting are all Telstra.

can I buy 4 of these packs and pool together the credits for the $150/year plan?

    • These are new sim kits not recharges, if you want to port out and then port back in you could use each pack but that's obviously not very practical.

      • thx I thought it was too good to be true :(
