I bought one of these several years ago.
    They are complete rubbish.
Parker had apparently come up with the greatest innovation since the ballpoint pen.
I fell for the marketing nonsense and bought one (at a discount price).
It turns out that it is nothing more than a glorified felt tip pen, with the nib hidden underneath a fake steel fountain pen nib.
When you write with it, it is deceptive because the ink comes out from underneath the steel nib.
If you take it apart you will find the ink cartridge inside with a nib that easily wears out, deforms and splodges ink everywhere.
It wears out quickly and if it doesn't it dries out quickly and has to be thrown.
Parker make the refills and charge a lot for them.
Until I saw this deal I thought that Parker had withdrawn these from sale as they were such a flop.
Apparently they are still trying to offload excess stock.

    • Thanks for taking the time to review πŸ˜€. I thought they would make impressive gifts but maybe not…

    A review

… for all intents and purposes, this is a felt tip pen with a bit more of a luxury type style…

    Expensive proprietary refills.

  • Seems to dry out fairly quickly as well. Something to keep in mind.

LOL! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No. It’s a texta. A very expensive texta.

Bought one for the wife last year and she loves it. We have had no issues with dry ink and it is a very nice feeling pen. Before I got my own one two years ago I used to use my Mont Blanc fountain pen which definitely used to dry up on me and in one occasion leaked.

When I switched to this pen I stopped using the MB and have not looked back since.

Definitely recommend this pen if you like a stylish yet practical pen in the office.

It also made for a great going away gift for a work colleague. Expensive looking but cheap price.

  • What do refills cost?

    • $9 each but I usually buy them when Peters has a 20% sale like the one last month. The refills on a heavy usage last about 6 months. Light usage anywhere up to a year.

  • Hmm not bad ill say, I've got a few, I've actually manage to refill some of those felt tip, I used a clam or tweezer and pull out the tip and refilled it with lammy black using those needles you use to refill cartages for fountain pen. I tend to do this like 2-3 times or if the tip is worn then I replace the refill, Do keep in mind resell value is definitely not there for these pens in comparison to like sailor or even Visconti.
