              • @Zegga: I see. What's the difference between the different colors anyway? I hope the red isn't shity.

              • @Zegga: Kinda strange. I am near Marion now so I went back to the Marion Big W and asked one of the staff if they still have these drives in stock. He first tried to point me to where all drives are on the shelf, and I told him they aren't there. He checked the computer and told me they have some blue and red ones in the back. They aren't listed on the site under the Marion store, nor are they on the shelf. I don't know why they're keeping them hidden. I got a blue one now.

Also, I had a "spend $50 or more and get 1000 rewards points" offer from Woolies so each cost me $95 technically. Now I have plenty of space for all those 4K pron movies. 😂

    • None left at Brickworks.

      • It's still showing in stock at Brickworks, and two other stores in Adelaide. I bought one (the red is the one on clearance at Brickworks) from there yesterday and there were still 4 left. They're inside a glass cabinet in front of the Tech/entertainment desk. Check at the image I linked in the previous page two days ago. There is a card you need to take to the entertainment desk and one of the staff will get it for you. I also bought a blue one from Marion store. Again, they aren't on the shelf, so you have to ask the staff at the tech desk in the back. Different stores might have different colors at the discounted price so make sure to ask to scan them, or check them on the computer.

        • Thanks AussieDaddy - to clarify, I did speak to the staff at the tech desk at Brickworks Big W, and they confirmed that they only had the new 4tb models (which are not discounted) left in stock. They took some of the drives from the display cabinet and scanned them, they all showed up as $189.

          • @rosern: That's weird. Yeah, the new ones aren't on sale, but there were still four red ones left there yesterday. Probably an OzBargainer went there and got them all or something. Try other stores if you get the chance. Just make sure to ask the staff to check their inventory on the computer and scan different colors of the 4TB drives. Good luck.

  • +2

Got one from Mt Ommaney today, tag was $199 but scanned as $100, so happy! Thanks!

    • thanks for the heads up got one from ommany as well!

  • https://www.servethehome.com/seagate-4tb-2-5-sata-hdd-124-ge… for anyone planning on shucking. Removing cover is very easy with a thin knife getting behind each of the tabs and prying gently, to break the adhesive.

  • Not on clearance at Mirrabooka, WA.

  • Thanks OP! I got really lucky and managed to get the very last one from Big W Colonnades after calling all around SA. Money is tight at the moment so this was massively helpful =)

As far as I know everywhere in SA is sold out now.
