  • 2080 super, right?

    • nope

    • +$100 for SUPER

      • +$599.00 for 2080 Ti

        Or

+$499.00 going from 2080 SUPER to 2080 Ti upgrade

  • Anything in ITX?

  • discount code actually brings it down to 1449, btw.

    • It's 1499 for me. OP Must have fixed it

      • Yeah, it's changed now. That sucks, thought it was a title error.

        • When I go to the checkout it comes up as $1499 ($1528 with postage). Has the deal of it at $1449 finished? Thanks.

  • Be careful buying computers from these guys. I know many may have come across no issues, but I suggested my girlfriend buy a computer from them and she came across several issues:
    1. Extremely slow delivery - apparently they were out of stock, but still charged her card
    2. She wanted to swap orders as it was extremely slow and she was not allowed to do so even though the computer had not even been shipped
    3. The computer arrived faulty. It restarts every few minutes and she's been wasting time and effort to get it sorted with them

Extremely unprofessional with issues. They should simply send a new computer and compensate her for all the hassle.

    • When did you buy it?

    • Not good to hear regarding issues with the PC and not reflective of the majority of our business. Also the first I've heard of it. Can you PM me details?

Regarding charging, we state that we build PCs to order once payment is taken. That is standard practice in online retail involving build-to-order purchases. Amendments can definitely be made to orders as long as they haven't shipped so I'm not sure what occurred there. Again happy to look into it.

      • Is the offer on this page still valid? The link is broken on Ozbargain. The 3500x is too slow for a 2080 SUPER imo, so this build would've been great with the offer code.

Useful advice but is pretty contrary to what I read in all recent techfast posts. Hit up Luke and he'll sort you guys out.

      • To be fair, their customer service is very helpful as I stated in another post. What I meant was unprofessional was the slow shipping, not allowing her to change her order even though computer had not been shipped, and delivering us a faulty computer.

My comment to another post elaborating on what happened:
"We heard nothing from them for 1 week. GF called them, and she was told a part was out of stock, so they were waiting for the part to be delivered to them. That's when we tried to change the order as another build that was more fitting had appeared from them. But she was not allowed to do so. Took another week for it to actually be delivered. And when delivered, it was faulty.
To be fair, their customer service is very attentive, but that does not absolve them from the issues above, plus time and hassle to sort things out.
They first suspected windows was corrupted, so they shipped a USB with windows after another week. After more time and hassle, we found out it's not windows. Now they offered to send a new PSU, which will take more hassle and time. And if that does not work, we need to ship back the computer and they will send another one.

So basically, GF bought a computer that she needed to use, but hasn't been able to use it for 1 month due to these issues, plus all the time and hassle. I will be the one having to install the new PSU and testing everything.

We would've rather spent 100+ more on more reputable and reliable sellers than going through all this."

  • Recently purchased a Ryzen 5/2080 Super Build in September from Techfast, and have nothing but praise for Luke and Callum, and the unit I received from TechFast.

I emailed in a few times after placing my order asking for minor changes, additions, and then changing my mind and throughout the whole process Callum was extremely patient and happy to accommodate. Even after the unit shipped and arrived at my door, when I emailed them requesting the original AM4 Mounting brackets from the Motherboard, they were more than happy to send them out. Every email I've sent has been replied to within 12-24 hours (weekends obviously excluded), and overall the Build was extremely clean with good cable management. All the hardware documentation came packaged in the motherboard box which was sent for 'accessories', and when the unit was dispatched it was at my door within 3 days. I also requested the GPU be sent separately and they were more than happy to accommodate that.

A lot of people complain about the Build-Ship time, which admittedly took about 14 days so isn't stellar, however considering how many units TechFast is likely selling, that they assemble them all on site, and that I imagine it's a relatively small team, it's understandable. If you're looking for a quick delivery because your desperate and need it NOW, TechFast may not be right for you, but if your happy to wait, it's definitely a company worth considering for a prebuilt system. As always though, do your due diligence first to see if the deal is actually a deal.

I would definitely buy from them again, and recommend them to others.

Fair point. But people should also be looking into the build quality. Seems like many OZbargainers complain about the quality of the build and the PSU, which most likely was the issue, as Techfast stated with us.

Also, how big or small their team is, and how many units they are selling is irrelevant. Customers buy their computers expecting decent service and computers should be delivered within a reasonable amount of time, and obviously, the product should work. If you cannot meet these pretty average standards, you're doing something wrong.
Most customers are not here to sympathise with your limited infrastructure and inability to meet customer demand at an acceptable pace and quality. And given how you, Techfast, flood OZbargain with deals, that's exactly what you should be doing. Meet customer demand with at least average standards.

Just to clarify in case there was some confusion (your language went from general to 'you', and I don't want anyone to think I represent TechFast in any way), I don't work for TechFast.

I can only speak to the quality of my own unit, but everything (besides case/fans, but that's to be expected) in mine was a good quality part from a reputable well known brand and I so far haven't had any issues. I do know that isn't going to be the case for everyone though, and TechFast is a lotto system, some of the savings come from having to accept you may end up with a BioStar motherboard, or a Allied PSU. The OzBargain way is to pull those parts, sell, and buy better replacements as you'll see a lot of people talk about with the 2400MHz RAM. A hassle sure, but it comes with the territory of wanting the best but going with a lotto system. Obviously receiving ones that don't work isn't acceptable, but I'm sure that'll be made right for you.

I do sympathize with your position, issues on new purchases always suck, and it sounds like there may have been some communication issues with the changes you wanted to make after placing the order (my experience was Callum/Luke were more than happy to indulge me as I asked for changes then asked for them to all be undone, and I'm no one special), but I emailed in all of my requests. From reading your experience above, it does sound like you've had a bit of a cascade of errors there with troubleshooting, but what is particularly weird is it's my impression that every unit is tested prior to shipping, and from the benchmarking software I found on my system I would have figured they'd have picked up a faulty PSU straight away. Mistakes get made though, and the benchmarking may only take place on higher end systems (not sure what you had personally ordered).

Your experience is a great one to share as you have, no company is ever perfect and I'm sure it'll help make an informed decision for potential buyers. My review wasn't posted in response to yours, only because this was the first listing I saw of a similar build to mine. Hopefully the new PSU resolves your issues.

  • What happens if I buy a system without an OS, will it allow me to turn it on and use it still ?

    • TechFast preinstall Windows 10 Home (from memory it was home, don't think it was Pro.) on their prebuilt systems, as they use it to do testing. Windows 10 basically complains at you to activate it however you can still use 80% of Windows 10s features indefinitely (as far as I know) assuming a few water marks and customization options being locked don't bother you.

  • Link's broken - I assume they've discontinued the offer?

    • Yes, we're out of regular RTX 2080s now. I will ask mod to expire.
