Biwin DW100 CL30 for $129 link has no sellers on PCPart Picker. Quick google search shows CL34 is sold by many retailers in Australia. Is it actually CL30 on your builds or CL34.

    • +6

Thank you for picking this up. The model code is BXL53260DW1-D36DB. It does not appear on PCPP and I had just chosen the Biwin line and set a manual price, without noticing the CL column. I have adjusted it to the lowest priced equivalent at CL36 which is Corsair Vengeance, and adjusted the price to $129. We also have the XPG Lancer Blade on hand which is also CL36

      • I don't see any payment options like Zippay or Afterpay?

  • +6

Can you please get case options that aren't 'gamer' with fliashing lights, RGB, windows into the components etc? Really just want a simple, sleek case that doesn't stand out.

    • +27

The trick there is volume - these are the ones we have prearranged in sufficient quantity, RGB lighting can be disabled in every case though.

      • +1

Thats what I wanted to read in the previous post.
I don't mind if it's there as long as I can turn it off :)

      • +2

Can you please explain how? There are multiple threads asking how to turn them off (even on this deal) that people never get a response too, so they just replace them with something else.
The button in the case rotates through the colour options but never turn off from what I've experienced.

        • Mine are controlled through the GPU dashboard, has very diverse & specific settings.

          • @Captain Yobbo: The fans themselves have two plugs, don’t they? One for RGB and one for fan power.

            • @ewok666: AFAIK yes, but I can't remember & CBF opening mine up to check 😬

        • Mine can be turned off in the BIOS settings dueing startup.

        • Hold down the button, first time will switch to software lighting, second time will turn them completely off. Doing it a third time toggles back into the inbuilt case lighting.

      • I just want a case with no RGB and a solid side panel so i don't have to look at any lights/fans.

    • +3

Same. Just a sleek, non-RGB build and focusing more on quality components.

      • +3

It's a personal preference at the end of the day, my case is full of RG and I have a monitor light with RGB. The Mrs hates my PC when it's on. lol

    • -1

I bought one of the previous deals with 9070xt, I don’t like rgb especially playing in the dark. The problem was with my antec case and the rgb controller, there wasn’t anyway to disable fan rgb from bios nor any app on win11 (even the button on case was just rotating the different lighting effects), I shot them an email to get some help and they never replied.

I went and bought some non rgb fan and installed them, just in case be prepared to sort it yourself. As much it’s a deal to buy from tech fast, the service is quasi non existent

      • I was able to turn on/off the RGB on my antec c3 by long press the led button. Not sure if it will work on your particular case tho. No harm to try I guess

        • -1

I tried but rather than turning the lights off, the long press freezes the current state on the lights. It takes about 5-10 sec to kick in while pressing the button, on a lucky day it can freeze on when the lights rotation goes to dark and "turns" the lights off. On an unlucky day it can take towards 20 attempts (the longest I did it was almost 10min) of long pressing to freeze the light, long pressing to unfreeze, then again back to try to freeze the lights when they are off. It's expecially frustrating as the timing for when they are off can be super short and the long press kicks in after a few seconds … it's basically playing roulette. I really tried to look at the RGB controller but even if it's connected to the MB, it's not controllable via any software.

    • +3

Agree! Please add Lian Li DAN-A3.

      • yes please!! we need a non gaming case!

    • 100%

A 5080 equivalent build in a fractal north is my dream

  • +4

Any idea how these businesses are able to provide such cheap prices? Is it bought at wholesale?

    • +7

Wholesale, yes. But also because notice how they cheap out on the brands of RAM, coolers, old B650 mobo, and the case. These are literally min-max builds with wholesale brands minus the GPU and the CPU. Even the power supply is skimped.

      • +14

Are you suggesting this is a bad thing? If I were building my own rig (which I usually do) I'd min/max these components too.

        • +1

It can/may be a bad thing. Why do you think people often change their options for these components lol. These guys know what they're doing. These are gateway parts. Gateway to more spending for better parts.

          • +9

@marshmall0w2: So you're suggesting the base offering "can/may be a bad thing" because.. the buyer has choice to upgrade any component they want? Still unclear on the problem here.
I'd bet a shiny dollar that at least 50% of this deal's orders go unmodified anyway.

            • +1

@InfiniteWee: Well I guess I was too western with my answer by skipping over the reasoning. It can/may be a bad thing when the components in the base model have questionable lifespans and hence why people would choose other components. Sure, maybe 50% of the orders are unmodified, but I am simply answering OC how they can price it that way.

              • +4

@marshmall0w2: I mean its a possibility but Techfast have been posting their prebuilt PCs here for 5+ years and you'd have feedback here by now if there was a systematic problem with them picking parts with questionable lifespans.

It would be silly to target ozbargain with mid/high end components anyway, the community here has a very strong bias towards price and they'd be nowhere near as popular here if they were doing mid/high-end component builds instead of targeting cost.

                • @eecan: But you do have feedback on techfast, nebula, etc. with regards to the components. Several comments on older posts mention and/or complain about the existing components and to upgrade instead. Where did you get the idea there weren't any complaints? There are also complaints about shipping and delivery times.

                  • +5

@marshmall0w2: I can't see much groundswell of complaints in these techfast threads. Delivery delays sure, but that's a different matter.
If your core argument here boils down to "some people don't like it" then welcome to the internet I guess.

                    • -1

@InfiniteWee: My bro I am just explaining to OC why prices are the way they are

                      • +3

@marshmall0w2: Sure - and I'm saying it's not really fair to call the parts cheap/short on lifespan without good reason

                        • -1

@InfiniteWee: Well, whoever are reading these comments will decide that for themselves :)

    • -6

its mostly stolen from pirate bay

    • +4

Gray import stock nade for the chinese market were their buying power is lower.. thats how Ali express can sell us $200 Ryzen 7700 CPUs where in Asutralia they sell forn $450

  • So no chance of the old 14900KF deal being resurrected before EOFY?

    • +2

No, the Arsecrusher i9 deal is done and dusted based on supply

      • This will teach me to dither. :(

        • Just wait for the fixed Core Ultra series lol. No hardware issue with the chips.

          • @marshmall0w2: True, but I want the tax deduction now! Next generation Core Ultra with hyperthreading re-enabled should be a big improvement.

            • @xyron: How's that - I cant claim anything over $300 directly. Over that you need to amortize it so you only see tax reduction if you buy at the start of the year.

              • @ffagz: Not if you're a sole trader. Sucks to be a PAYG employee :( (not really, has its perks obviously)

  • can we upgrade the proc to 9900x3d?

  • +3

I think the closing days of this June will need a further techfast blitz on the 5090 pc to catch all the stragglers and holdouts

  • Any, chance removing the ssd and replacing with another 16gb ram to the 5060ti build?

    • +2

Buy 16gb ram separately and add it

  • R5-7500F, RTX 5060 Ti 16GB vs PS5 pro, which is more powerful?

    • In terms of raw power they are both very similar however the cpu is better on the pc and the 5060 ti is heaps better at ray tracing and upscaling. Dlss easily beats pssr.

It more depends on wanting the freedom of a pc or the ease and convenience of a console. Games are much cheaper on pc and no yearly subscription required for mp.

      • -2

Don’t give the wrong idea, it’s Pro ,not base Ps5. 5060 ti is a low end 1080p card, while Ps5 pro do 4k 60/120, equivalent to 4070 ti super PC, the discussion was long settled last year.

        • +1

PS5 Pro will play GTA6 a whole year before it even comes out on PC.. the PC can do way more things then just game. :) cant play free games like leage of legends on PS5 or install steam and play with other friends on steam. While wathing youtube or netflix on a second monitor while running a discord channel.

The 4060ti 16gb maybe as fast as a PS5 GPU but it would never run games as well because the PS5 is more optimised. PC overheads are massive vs consoles

        • +5

No, Digitalfoundry found that both the 5060ti and 9060xt (16gb variants) beat the ps5 pro.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acE6VJ0ujA4

Even the 5060 (16gb) can beat the ps5 pro.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0Acn0pbbCA

  • +1

Would it be possible to add the 7800x3d option to bring the cost of the 5080 build down a bit. Argh….Torn between your 5070ti build and this.

  • +1

Excellent value for the 5060Ti build

  • Man THAT PRICE for 5080 is so tempting, but I just cannot justify upgrading from the current 4080 PC, which I spent nearly $4000 to build myself…….

    • +2

There is no need to upgrade from 4080 to 5080. Save your money 🙂

    • Get the 5090 build, that will be an upgrade

  • 5080 build, but with a (hopeful) 5080 ti/super card would have me snap up that deal…. cmon nvidia!!!

  • Hey @luketechfast
Any chance you'd be able to check my PM's or emails regarding order placed last week?
    Cheers!

  • Anyone have an approximate weight / dimensions for the package? (TRS reasons)

    • +2

Bro you taking your whole pc overseas??

      • Possibly…depending on weight, gotta get that TRS for maximum savings

        • +5

Is it really worth carrying the whole pc just for a $288 GST refund?

    • You are joking right?

  • +13

I know I've never believed in you, but please god give me strength in the face of this temptation.

  • +2

I'd love to see a creator focused machine (video editing, blender, unreal engine etc). If I could swap that CPU with 9700x or 9900x in the 5080 build I'd pull the trigger right now.

    • +7

Ah ah ahhhh….you didn't say the magic word

      • +1

        He did say "pull"

      • +1

        pleaaaze.

        5080 with a crusher of a 9950x3d.

Oh, and why do all your systems have SSDs? Id like one that's for upgraders and I have a plethora of SSDs to jam in…

      • Pleeease! I hate this gamer crap!
        😛🥰

    • +1

I'm in that camp. I want to build a 9950x3d with 5080 for a mix of productivity and gaming.

My preference would be for a B850 motherboard for that extra M.2 connector and I'd probably tweak a few other bits and pieces, but this level of pricing makes that little compromises worth it.

      The current dream/plan:

      9950X3D
      B850
      64GB 6400MT DDR5
      RTX 5080

Storage and PSU are less relevant as long as they are sufficient. Ditto cooler and case, although I really like the look of the Antec P101 Silent since my aim is dark and quiet. No RGB would be nice, but it isn't a deal breaker as long as I can turn it off or disconnect it. The current machine is hidden away behind a monitor anyway so it's not really what case it is.

  • Waiting for another Intel i9 high end solution, like this

  • +3

Any chance of adding 9950x3D option if it is available, the rest of the options provided are perfect… please., I had sent an email earlier before seeing this post and asking for similar :)

  • Hi Luke, how long is this deal running for? Thanks!

    • Until sold out rather than a time

  • +9

Come on nebula…beat it please :D

    • +1

      nebula is frozen

    • Yes please Nebula! I'd like their extended support. For such an expensive and high-end system, 12 months support is not quite good enough.

  • Hi Luke,
what is model usually used for the power supply for 5080 deal?
do we have option to upgrade power supply to a higher tier and pay extra?

  • Hi Luke, How long you will have these runout sale for?

    • +4

      Until they run out.

    • +1

This is an excellent price so I would say you should just buy ASAP as I expect they will go pretty quickly.

  • Gday Luke,

Sent a query through your website regarding changing my Ryzen 5 5600/9060xt order to the R5-7500F, RTX 5060 Ti from this deal.

Only ordered it yesterday so hoping this can be facilitated.

    Thanks mate!

    • No probs, we'll get to it no probs.

  • Hey Luke,
Any restock on the 5070 deals? Life got the better of me and I barely missed out.
    Thanks

    • would love to know too. I literally had it all in my cart after I tweaked the add on then it said out of stock.
Would much prefer 5070 to 5060TI

    • Nah sorry, they are done done

  • Is 1 year Warranty enough? So if it breaks on the 13th month, then what?

    • The balance of each component's manufacturer warranty still applies - this is just for the assembled system, covering freight for warrantable faults etc.

  • +3

Would it be worth buying the $1188, just to keep the GPU and sell the rest for $500-600?

  • +1

okay im really hoping to upgrade my system before eofy is there any recommended upgrades to the 5080 system? i dont know much but people seem to always say the ram and mobo isnt that great

  • Hey Luke,
Any idea what CL the 32gb of ram is? Would CL30 be available, happy to pay extra if the option is available. As well as full atx B650 mobos, or if you could tell me what specific model you would most likely include for the X870 option? Also are your psu's fully modular? Sorry if I'm asking for too much
    Thanks

  • damn i ordered a 5080 with a r7 7800X3D 2 weeks ago for 200 more than this deal. Feels bad (╥﹏╥)

  • +5

Will you provide a tax invoice for this financial year?

    • I'd like to know that as well.

  • Hi, are there any options to upgrade from my existing order of 5070 to this order? The order is still in processing status not in build yet

    • +1

      The 5080 build

      • If you can do that, I’ll take his 5070
        Build, missed out on it
