seems like a good price. although i like android ones ;)

    • +1 vote

I like Android as well. But if you make use of the Itunes gift card deal, you ends up pay cheaper for game on Itunes.

      • I think there more games for Ios as well.

  •

Australian stock or parallel imported? I know they're the same except the charger, but huge difference when talking about resale value on ebay.

  •

Hi will the warranty will be accepted in apple australia, or it has to send to you ?

    •

1 year limited warranty with Apple Australia.

      • +2 votes

I see that you have not replied to the two questions about these items being imported stock (from USA?) with uncertified USA Power Supplies.

I know that these iPads are now sold out. However, you stated that you will be offering them again in the near future.

Please answer the question. Are these Australian Market iPads?

        •

Hi guys, Thanks for asking. We are awaiting the reply as well. Will update here when we know. Please bare in mind that each batch might be different but we will try to provide as much information as possible :)

        •

Hi A3Australia, they are OZ stock :)

"Hi A3Australia, they are OZ stock :)"

I did not as about "stock".

          Please answer the question.

Were these Australian Market iPads? Will the next 'batch' be Australian Market iPads?

        • +1 vote

@A3Australia OZ stock is pretty STD terminology for stock originally manufactured for the Australian market. i.e. EXACTLY what you would find in any apple store in Aus.

"A3Australia OZ stock is pretty STD terminology for stock originally manufactured for the Australian market. i.e. EXACTLY what you would find in any apple store in Aus."

Thanks for your input ozdavo. However, I have found that NOT to be the case when sellers are trying to avoid revealing that they are selling USA, UK, HK, models of some device. They say "stock" - meaning that they have the USA, UK, HK, model device in Australia.

I have not Neg'ed this offer. I would just like a 'straight' answer from the REP.

  •

Rep, can you please explain why the price is ranging from $439 to $717 for Samsung Nexus S phone? Also the is it Australian warranty? I didnt know about this thread, so I have created another post. It would be great if you can comment in that thread. Cheers!

    •

Hi Chacha, no worries. The price difference is because they are from different suppliers. Depending on the product, most of the mobile phones will have Australian warranty. If you can email us the product link with question, we can let you know the warranty details for that product, info@alwaysdirect.com.au.

  •

i heard apple told HN DS OW BW etc etc all big stores to sell ipad on fixed price so how come they can sell it 100$ less… amazing.. tempted

  •

Was in my shopping cart with some furniture, fragrances and a camcorder that they had cheap then disappeared out…

So was real and now gone.. Called the office to see what happened to my cart and she spoke little english except. Sold.. All Gone.. So I closed down the page and walked from my order.. Waste of time.. or may be i should of rushed and just got that and then browsed the site.. Not to worry.. New IPAD 2 HD will be out before the end of the year and that will be worth it to get an amazing screen…

    •

no wonder so cheap must be stolen goods hahaha just kidding

    •

the rumor on ipad hd has been debunked, move on

    •

Hi Sportsguy, sorry to hear that. We were told there might be another batch next week. If so, we will list on ozbargain again.

    •

@sportsguy It's normal for online sales with limited quantity to NOT hold items in your cart until purchase is complete. One of the cons of online sales.

  • +1 vote

it's cheap compared to the normal Apple prices but compared to other Tablets, the price is about street price average.

take Acer iconia for example, its specs are as good as the ipad 2 and my friend was able to buy it under $500 when JB Hifi had it on special a little while back.

the iPad 2 is still more popular because it has better "touch and feel" factor. The GUI was deliberatly made so simple that even grandma can operate it.

my primary choice was largely based on the Apps that are available, the hardware specs came second and Price came third.

I found that I need both an ipad and an Android tablet. 1 isn't enough
    lol…..

(unless I can dual boot the ipad 2 with honeycomb then I just need one)

well i spose it's just good marketing by the OP.

When I start an online store i'll be sure to sell 1 or 2 or "very limited" playstation 3's for about $180. Meanwhile I'll get my 3 friends to buy it while I get hundreds or thousands of click-throughs.

If I can't neg a deal on ozbargain for being largely unattainable then that's just lameee.

        but cool upside down writing.

#1 Apple device (decently) discounted - must be fake (damn Apple) - jks
#2 Why are people even talking about Android. This is an iPad ffs.
MyTab is great value, but doesn't hold a candle to these guys.
#3 Sold out in an huor. Bait ? Probably a great deal in this case (ltd quantity was mentioned though)
#4 +1 to rep for his followup

With A5 overheating in iPhones maybe the iPad with retina will be Apple's focus now, but I don't really see too many more upgrades over the iPad2.

  •

Has anyone got their iPads yet? Advertised as Wednesday shipments but this has not been the case? :(

    •

Nope, I haven't gotten mine either. No confirmation of shipping email.

    •

Hi B0unce, sorry about that. We are as anxious as you and we have been chasing our supplier who promised a delivery 48 hours ago. We were told there probably will be another 3-5 business days of waiting. If you prefer not to wait we can fully refund you, but personally I suggest you to wait as you may not see this price again. iPad2 stock is hard to get these days. Should you have any concerns, you may contact us 1300 144 100 (business hours) or email us customerservice@alwaysdirect.com.au. Again, I am really sorry about the delay.

      •

Hi Always Direct, thanks for clarifying the situation, so the ETA is still unknown for the time being?

        • +1 vote

Hi Bobfred, no worries. That is my job :) We were told it might be sometime next week. Once we have the stock, I will update here so you guys will know before the dispatching. Once the item is dispatched, you should receive a email from us telling you the item is on the way. I know it is hard to wait, esp for an iPad2. Hope you all have a nice weekend, even without an iPad2.. (I will be around though during the weekend. So any concerns feel free to let me know)

      •

Thanks guys. Though sometimes it helps to be proactive instead of reactive. Just saying… :)

        • +1 vote

:) Sure, b0unce. Just buzz me here if you have any questions. I am as anxious as you guys - I ordered 1, too *_^

Is there any news from your supplier?

        •

Hi XmaGe, this afternoon we were told the goods are on its way to us. I will double check tomorrow see how far away these iPad2 are and update you once I have good news.

      • +1 vote

Hi, have you got the stock yet

        •

Hi Ian, we have been updated the stock is on the way to us and ETA is this Wed. Once we received it, I will update there. Sorry about the delay. We didn't expect this would take this long. Sincerly

      •

        Any news before the weekend?

        •

Hi XmaGe, we have been updated the stock is on the way to us and ETA is this Wed. Sorry about the delay. We didn't expect this would take this long. Sincerly

  •

So much for 20 July… How come you call yourself 'Always Direct' when you take our money, and then talk to your supplier?

    •

Hi Soupeater, we have been updated the stock is on the way to us and ETA is this Wed. Sorry about the delay. We didn't expect this would take this long but it is hard to get iPad2 stock at the moment. If you prefer not to wait, we are happy to provide you a full refund. You may ring us 1300 144 100 or email customerservice@alwaysdirect.com.au to inform us. Refund will be issued right away. Sincerly

  •

    What's going on here

  • +1 vote

So the new ETA is this Wednesday. That's what they said last week, hopefully this time it will be true.

  •

Any news on the delivery today ?

    •

Hi Daverwebb, We were told the goods are in transit and they may arrive anytime. I will update here once they arrive.

  •

Well, its almost 5pm, looks like it is not going to happen after all. My bet is on next Wednesday now…

    •

      Today isn't the day

Hi Sportivocamry, I was just updated that the delivery somehow didn't happen. If you have put down the order, we are sending out emails to you for the refund details (Refund is on the way this morning). I am really sorry about that. We didn't expect this. You may contact us customerservice@alwaysdirect.com.au or 1300 144 100 for more information about your orders. Sincerly sorry.

  • +1 vote

Never going to happen at all, apparently.
Interesting considering 'the goods are in transit'..

    • -1 vote

Hi Daverwebb, I was just updated that the delivery somehow didn't happen. We think we might refund you first to avoid keep you waiting. If you have put down the order, you should expect the refund within half an hour or so. I am really sorry about that. We didn't expect this. You may contact us customerservice@alwaysdirect.com.au or 1300 144 100 for more information about your orders. Sincerly sorry.

  • +1 vote

Just got email saying they will offer refunds "due to issue with product". We were told the Ipads were "on transit" for a couple of weeks and then nothing, they are just dishonest and will never buy from them again.

  •

What a complete waste of time. Very unprofessional, I will not use your service again.

    •

Hi XmaGe, I am really sorry about it. Let us know if you think we can solve this for you in a better way… Again, I am sincerly sorry…

  • +1 vote

AlwaysDirect Rep - here's a tip for you - people around here don't like broken promises. Next time you list something on OzBargain, you should try and have actual stock available, thus saving potential embarrasment and negative feedback.

  •

has anyone here got there money yet?

    •

Hi Ian, how did you pay? If via PayPal, the money should have been in your account already. If by credit card, you should have received a email from the system with the refund details. If you didn't receive anything, please ring us 1300 144 100 or send a email to customerservice@alwaysdirect.com.au with your order number. We will help you check :)

    •

      Yep, I've got mine.
