    Rambo doesn't need these anymore

    • There's still Last Blood

When were these $45? I paid less than $15 some time ago.

I didn't think craftrite sold anything above 20 bucks. Cheap disposable tools, usually good enough for the job you buy them for.

    • Hmm.. It shows $39-$45 this year

      • Interesting, must have purchased last time there was a price drop. I’ll have to see if I still have the receipt to see exactly how much I paid.

If u can wait, go to eBay and buy it directly from China. Even with GST applied, it’s cheaper. However, if you need it NOW, then this is cheap. I use this mainly for drilling thru pvc junction boxes for conducting as they are far more superior that the typical spade bits.

    • Conducting = conduits. Typo….

      • It would be hard to conduct electricity through the side of the box, so the original was still kind of right. :)

Link to the ones you bought if possible?

    • Bought the Aldi ones and did a sub board yesterday drilling all holes with these. All the boys are grabbing some. Can’t thank you enough

I probably have no use for these at all, yet I am compelled to drive to Bunnings right now and buy some.

    • …just do an online purchase with paypal and C&C and go at your leisure :)

      • Hi franco, how do you go about purchasing from bunnings with paypal and C&C? Would come in super handy :)

bunnings updated their site allowing online orders…just add the item to your cart, specify your local store and checkout as a guest using paypal as your payment method ;)

    • Following your steps, going to Bunnings now…..

was looking at buying some of these this week and was astounded by the price on these things…$12.89 is much nicer!
    bought using C&C & paypal….a 1st time with bunnings!

  • Bunnings is getting in early in response to aldi’s special buys…

  • Don't see any at my Bunnings at Bankstown.

    will it pierce the heavens?

    • No, but it worked well when I needed to drill a 19mm hole to relocate a sensor on a filter housing.

  • What is the purpose of the smallest drill in the set? The steps on it (4,6,8,10,12mm) are already on the second-smallest one (4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20mm), and also on the largest one!

Why not buy just the largest drill, from eBay?

    • +2

The larger size might be too large in confined spaces such as close to a wall or other upright protrusion.

    • +1

You can also drill a hole in thicker material with the smallest one. The depth of each step is much less on the others.

  • How do these compare to the Workzone ones at Aldi?

  • +1

can confirm these were $45 last week.
needed to drill a 14mm hole so bought the cheapest single step drill for about the same price as this.

  • Note that these sets don't have a 1/4" shank to go in your impact driver and will then need to be used with a drill only.

Just a heads up if that applies to anyone.
