Curious question,
Are you still using the i7 2600K still? I am still using my i7 2600 with an RX570 😄
I know it's from the sequel (which has an amazing looking remaster coming!)
But when the depressed mudokons would reply with a sad "noo"
I lose it every time.
I actually played this and exoddus on my ps2, to see if I could save all the mudokons…Missed like 20-30 in each game.
Also, was the only one terrified of the little spider-crab things?
I'm pretty sure I'm arachnophobic, and that was so hard.
Having to control one in sequel was quite difficult
Great game and worth it at this price.
The only caveat I give is to people familiar with the traditional Playstation One controls: The controls are different. Yes, there's a classic control mode, but that only changes some things (for example, game speak is always mapped to the d-pad).Interesting.

One of the most incredible and detailed fictional worlds to have been created, period. It would be great if they could turn out a movie one day based on the Oddworld universe.
I would love it if that happened. I also used to dream of them creating a dark and refined rpg-esque type of game on the scale of breath of the wild or similar, where you have to infiltrate many corrupt corporations, unite distant isolated tribes and survive merciless wildernesses. Munch and stangers started doing some cool things in this direction but were too silly and cutesy for me, didnt capture that gripping, mysterious dangerous world like the originals. Always felt a mixture of scared and excited for what devilry was around the corner
I played this when it was free on ps plus in 2015 or so. Great game and the remake is a lot more forgiving than the original. I remember back in the day you had to be pixel perfect to make jumps and pull levers, here not so much.
Play it on Hard, it’s just as punishing as the original was!
This includes the Vita and PS3 version too, no?

Same. Showed up as free. Not sure why. Still had to "purchase".
You would have had the version from when it was on PS+
It became Cross Buy after at some point, and got reuploaded. If you still have Plus, you are still entitled, if you hit buy now though, it will come up as a genuine purchase and you will keep the game forever. This has happened on a bunch of Cross Buy games, Woah Dave, Hotline Miami, Oddworld, Mercenary Kings, Jak and Daxter, etc.
I haven't had Plus in ages, but was playing this on my Vita a month or two back through this.

There's also a Oddworld dynamic theme on the PlayStation Store which is a free download. Not sure if it's the theme that's included in the complete edition though :o

I've gone through and downloaded all the free ones.I think I got 2 last night with the complete edition
I remember buying Abe's Odyssey with the first PlayStation console, must have been late 90's. The game was $110 from Big W, but boy did I get my monies worth - and no OZbargain back then!
Took a lot of attempts and a very long time to reach the end 😂
