I bought one from Bunnings the bars that forms the legs come as two pieces that have to be joined together by a clip. I find these not strong as it ‘slips’ and overlaps each other when the weight on each shelf is too heavy. If that makes sense

I learnt to look for legs that are one solid piece. Not sure if these shelves are like that. That’s more stable and reliable. Hope that helps someone.

    • Each vertical strut is in two sections - you can just see it in the image.

I also have little time for this design, though the single-piece ones are getting harder to find.

These are two piece but the clipping mechanism also locks the legs together. I can't see how it will slip further unless it shears off the clipping mechanism. The clip might be different to the bunnings one.

You will lose 2 adjustment holes due to locking mechanism, but hasn't really been an issue for me.

The picture online shows the vertical pieces overlap.

Also, 350kg per shelf equates to 1.4tonnes. I highly doubt it could take that much weight, but good on you if you are able to fit that much weight in that volume.

I'd be interested in buying one, but don't need the two units.

Christ are they really doing that?

As if these things weren't cheaply constructed enough as it is, made from old tin cans and squeezed together cereal boxes.

It can take it, but only if its evenly distributed, level, and bolted to a wall. But that is the max. If you load it up to that, and then add an extra kilogram, touch it, or a strong breeze comes along, you better know how to jump and roll for cover. The engineers who design these things don't mess around.

A couple teks screws per leg should aid in any worries. I'd be even drilling out a few holes and putting some small bolts in if I was to be using these style of racking

Use code BATHURST20 to get 2 for less than $120

    • This guy is very ozzie.

    • I applied the code before buying but it doesnt seem to apply the discount

      • It did work when I posted the comment, but doesnt know. Guess they stopped it for that item and other special items.

Almost bought 2 before I searched these stratco ones from previous deal which is $30 with size 1800x900x400 vs this one $74.5 1800x1200x400, if you don’t store anything heavy..
