    There's a number of brands offering these recently. They all recommend against storing anywhere that could overheat and cause the batteries to explode or catch fire. That sounds to me like any car left in the sun over summer, or do I need to remove my tinfoil hat?

      Did you read it was getting charged whilst it was on the front seat possibly in the sun and maybe with something plugged into it charging.

      Phones have blown up in peoples hand and pockets before too, so we stop using mobile phones?

      Use common sense and don't charge Any device in the sun, period.

        true, but these are relatively large batteries, and cars in summer tends to get very hot when parked.

      They say it's "Boxo", who only seem to make lead-acid based batteries.

      That said, Li-ion is pretty flammable too.

    Have one of these, just one a year old. Would jump start a cat fine but last week it decided not to charge anymore when plugged in. Pretty shattered. Googled the problem, seems to be uncommon. The light just flashes and after leaving it on the charger for over 24 hrs still just blinks and doesn't power up.

    would this able to jump start a dead flat car battery? i have a Suaoki G7 i bought 1.5 year ago and it cannot jump start dead flat one.

      Have this and have run my Hilux battery boat several times due to lights being on (those udes don't make noise when lights left on) and works like a charm!
