      Although it may be a Chinese torch, Olight is backed up by great warranty and service.

      A bit of research may help you see that Olight is one of the larger torch brands globally, and we have local branches in many countries including Australia now.

      You could also check out reviews for Olight Australia on google and/or facebook if you wanted further information.

      Our products are not the cheapest, but we put serious effort into both engineering and support.

    How long does a full charge last?

      Five main modes to choose from:

      • Level 1: 2000 lumens / 1 minute (then gradually steps down to 600 lumens for 160 minutes)
      • Level 2: 600 lumens / 210 minutes
      • Level 3: 120 lumens / 810 minutes
      • Level 4: 30 lumens / 55 hours
      • Level 5: 5 lumens / 9 days
      • Strobe: 13Hz at 2000 lumens

      30 lumens is enough for a lot of normal night time tasks and you get 55 hours.

    Tempting, but my Olight R50 is still going strong after 2 years of abuse.
    Baton Pro may not be really an upgrade option.
    Will consider something with longer beam range.

    Questions:
    Does it have auto cut-out charging (eg is the battery protected)?
    How many re-charges on "average" is the battery good for?

      Yes, battery is protected and charger has overcharge protection. The cells are rated at 500 cycles to 80% of original capacity so often last the life of the torch.
