Thanks! Was about to buy something from them last night but lucky I held off.

Repco are actually reasonably priced for many things. If you compare Supercheap auto, Repco are sometimes 20% cheaper for non sale items.

Far dearer on some too. Oil is one of them. If its not on special, usually Repco are 10% or more dearer

  • Picking up Meguiar's Ultime compound at $22.50.

  • Any recommendations on an all-in-one wash and wax?

    • Meguairs

  • Any recommendations for water less cleaning solutions? I live in a apartment and can't do water wash.

    • ONR

      • +1

        This, ONR is amazing

EDIT - Optimum No Rinse in case ONR doesn't show up in Google

        • Thanks, but not available in Repco..

        • ONR is great and I consider it my baseline for rinseless. Next time try Wolfgang Uber Rinseless. So much slicker than ONR. It can also be mixed at a waterless dilution. Can get it from Amazon

  • anyone know if the Mechpro pressure washers are any good?

    • Mechpro is a cheaper option at Repco. I have got a few Mechpro tools over the past couple of years when we need something at the shop and it's the only one they have in stock and they are rubbish. They are designed for home use so I am guessing this pressure washer should also be for small jobs/home use. You should really look at a Gerni. They are great for the price.

  • Penrite engine oil 10W-40 6L for $24 bucks, that's pretty awesome.

    https://www.repco.com.au/en/brands/penrite-oil/penrite-vanta…

    • With the oil should I focus on ACEA grade or the viscosity >?

      • +1

        Viscosity > ACEA.

Use the oil that's specified in your car manual/oil cap.

        Here are the ACEA ratings:
        B1 Fuel economy diesel
B2 Standard performance level (now obsolete)
B3 High performance and/or extended drain
B4 For direct injection car diesel engines
B5 Combines B1 fuel economy with B3/B4 performance

That said, I'm ghetto and just use whatever's cheap that's closest to OEM spec lol

        • Right, so my car take 0W-30 A5/B5. But I havent found any oil that has both … Thank you though

  • Repco battery any good?

  • Darn it!

I bought this (https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/bowdens-own-safe-wash-sy…) on the 20% deal at SCA $235.00.

Would've been $15 cheaper at Repco with this deal at $220.00 (https://www.repco.com.au/en/car-care-panel/car-care/car-care…).

  • Recommendations for a good wax to use after meguiars ultimate compound?

    • If you are going to go to the effort of correcting paint then consider a better protectant than a wax. A wax will only offer 3 months of protection.

Ceramic/sio2 offer far more durable and far more hydrophobic than wax and sealants

My favourite spray coating is Nv Lustre. Was previously using CarPro Reload

If you want further durability then CarPro Quartz UK is a great coating for beginners

      • Its only for small scratches ive gone and buffed out, not for the whole car atleast.

        • My recommendation doesn't really change. Wax for me doesn't have a place on a street car. I can coat a car with CQUK as quickly as I can with wax. Or with Lustre or Reload I can do it as quickly as 10mins.

If wax is a must have then consider Collinite 845

          • @4agte: Any of it sold at repco?

            • @[Deactivated]: No. Premium detailing products > over the counter products with 25%.

Buying a detailing product just because it's on special is false economy.

Nv Lustre 250mls. 25mls is all that is needed to provide up to 6 months of protection. So that is up to 5 years of protection in 1 250ml bottle.

If you must use over the counter brands stick with Meguiars or Autoglym

      • Would it ok to do the wax and THEN do the lustre or Car Pro? Are these ceramic coatings?
