  • Yeah, but are you going by the website? It may be that there's only one store in the country that has any left.

  • smart business thinking from swann

  • Essentially the same post as earlier, guess not technically a dupe though.
Double the cost for postage & handling killed it for me.
Anyone wanna grab me one from OW Canberra I'll be in :)

    • I'll grab one for you and post it if you want(at your cost). I live like 2 minutes from OW anyways

      • Hey Spawn, thx for the offer man. Postage was the killer. Thx though.

    "… Kit contains 4 AUTHENTIC-LOOKING IMITATION day/night cameras…"

Wish it was real cameras.. haha

      AUTHENTIC-LOOKING IMITATION day/night cameras

Authentic-looking? Christ, they're not even real imitation day/night cameras.

    • almost wasted my money on fake camera

  • I would not bother with fake camera

  • Bejesus. I thought they were real !

  • Those fake cameras are quite expensive too, this is still a very good deal :p

  • They are dummy ones.

  • I'll get them.
Just these OW deals are very hard to find.

  • Should combined with your other post!

I posted in comments of that one. :p

  • you know they are real because of the flashing red light </sarcasm>

  • About $2.40 each including postage, I think that is pretty good for imatation cameras just depends if you need them or not

  • Need the OP or a mod to fix up the title / description as it still sounds like they're real cameras.

  • Oh, I thought they were real cameras, I Just got this wireless camera setup from ebay and it works perfectly and gives fine reception from one side to the other of my house http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Wireless-Mini-CCTV-Hidden-Color-P…

  • Ordered a set. Maybe I can use them to house some webcams for home security?
If true "Staff & professional thieves will never know it's an imitation" then they must be proper housings, but empty.
    They even have ir-LEDs.

Got some dirt cheap aluminium venetian blinds too!

They can just turn off power on your switchbox. So unless you get battery backup power, security cameras are pretty useless.

      • yes, and before they reached the power box, they will be shot by a camera.

but you just missed the point. these cameras are not going to protect you, they'll just deter those drug taking idiots who do not understand what's the difference between flashing LED and a monitored security system. they'll just keep moving once they see cameras and break into a house next to yours if it does not have any security installed.

professional thieves. forget about it. even monitored security systems (at least the ones most people have) wont stop them. but fortunately, those bad guys are not interested in us average australians, and for a good reason. they hardly can steal anything that would make sense taking a risk to be sent to jail :)

Ohhhh, just what I needed to deter those annoying scavengers who just mess around with my pile (leaving contents of boxes strewn all over the lawn, which I have to clean once daily) twice every year. =) I even wrote 'NOT-Working' on the LCD tv boxes, but they keep on looking through them.

  • I ordered a set. Can't go wrong at that price :)
Would make the ideal April Fools joke at work
    - surround my work area with cameras
    - Put them in the hallway and tell staff they are "pedestrian speed cameras"
    - Point them at the lunch room cutlery draw to finally work out "where the teaspoon actually dissapear to"
    etc

    • Put one in the work toilet and wait for the fireworks after a colleague reports it to HR.

  • in which store these are still available?
I tried all stores in NSW, none of them have any clearance items :(

    • I'm not sure about still, but they were available in WA up to a couple of hours after the initial post.

  • Damn I feel ripped off. They look like toys. The branded fakes I have seen before use the same casings as real cameras, but not these.
Soft plastic parts that should be metal, the "LEDs" are the wrong shape (real LEDs cost next to nothing.),
The "lens" is a dull matt plastic. Anybody who wants to know if these are fake will see from a single glance.
Might work if mounted high in the air. Until the first rain.

Basically, the description is a boldfaced lie.

Oh, and the domes: are thin opaque soft plastic. They look nothing remotely like the real ones.
I was expecting a real dome just without the camera. Or even a 5c dummy camera inside.
