[Refurb] iPad Air (16GB, Wi-Fi, A7 Chip Generation) $219 + Delivery @ Dick Smith / Kogan

33

Unbelievably thin and lightweight

With a thickness of just 7.5mm and weighing in at only 469g, it will seem like the iPad Air is barely there as you’re using it. The display borders are also thinner than the previous versions of the iPad, so all you will see is your display without any wasted space on the edges.

Brilliant performance with the A7 chip

The A7 chip in the iPad Air was designed with 64-bit architecture, delivering fantastic performance – with CPU and graphics performance up to twice as fast as the previous version – without sacrificing battery life. With the iPad Air you will have incredible power and performance wherever you go.

Advanced wireless

The iPad Air uses two wireless antennas instead of one and MIMO technology, enabling the iPad to provide super fast Wi-Fi performance – up to twice as fast as its predecessor.

The iPad Air won't receive anymore iOS updates (Won't support iPadOS); also would be very sluggish for daily use.

Refurbished six year old 16GB model with no updates for two hundred bucks? Bargain…. :P

      Bought 10 :D

    • Does refurbished include a new battery? If not, how do we know what life is left in the battery?

  • IOS updates have made this pretty slow & cumbersome. 16gb isn't enough these days.

Ok for streaming, email & browsing (but slow)

  • Unbelievably thin and lightweight

Also unbelievably slow and small capacity now.

This has to be a sh!tpost.

This is a waste of $219+ and absolutely not a deal.

    • What is better at this price?

'Excellent condition' for $206.1 here after 10%: https://ebay.com.au/itm/202327882143

    Posted from AU as well

  • I had to sell mine for $140 since most apps were lagging, great for youtube or netflix at home

The secondhand market for out-of-support iDevices is incredible. There are still people who would pay $50+ for an iPad 2 for crying out loud! (I know 'coz I just sold mine for earlier this year). I think people give these to their kids and/or use them purely as a screen for streaming video for which they're perfectly suited.

So yeah. Basically paying for a screen with internet access.

Any deals on the first gen. iPad?

in all honesty, I'm struggling to understand why anyone would buy this for 200…

Don't underestimate the iNtelligence of iDiots, please or iPlease…

    • In addition to what I said above, add touchscreens for home automation. I think older iOS versions can easily be jailbroken so you can essentially hack them to do whatever you want. Build quality is better than an equivalent yumcha brand screen plus this would give you a decent warranty.

  • they seem good for streaming content, nothing else.

    • I am trying to think if there is any way this could compliment a Huawei Mediapad M3 8.0 WiFi only tablet like is there anything exclusive that is good on Apple vs Android ecosystem.

I think like maybe creativity stuff is the only reason to go Apple (besides cosmetic reasons) but that is only doable without lag on the flagship models drawing and editing videos properly that is.

      Or I dunno.
