Shhhhh.. 🤫 …. Enjoy :)

Note : Check your PICKUP LOCATION or You may End up travelling to another state.

Or You can get it for $1999 @ JB Hi-Fi or HN if that is nearby ;-)

The Mavic 2 Zoom from DJI is a professional quality film making drone that gives you the ability to get closer to the action, thanks to its 2x 24-48mm optical zoom camera with a 1/2.3" 12MP sensor. With 4x lossless zoom (including 2x optical zoom) you can capture sensitive subjects from an even greater distance. There's even a single-tap aerial mode called Dolly Zoom that gives a Hitchcockian effect to your footage.

The Mavic 2 Zoom utilizes a low-drag aerodynamic body design for achieving speeds up to 47.7 mph, a four-cell LiPo battery for up to 31 minutes of flight time, and low-noise propellers for filming without being distracting. This power and performance are coupled with a variety of shooting modes and capabilities for cinematic results.

In order to help keep the Mavic 2 Zoom safe and in control, DJI has provided OcuSync 2.0 video transmission technology that can transmit a video feed to the included controller from up to 5 miles away in Full HD 1080p quality. There's also omnidirectional obstacle sensing that provides object avoidance with sensors on all sides of the Mavic 2 Zoom.

I suggest you don’t try law it’s definitely not your field !

Try something where you don’t think my best suggestion.

    • You have been thinking like a proper lawyer though.

    • +1

You must be fun in parties…

    • You're a (profanity) mate.

    • Lol

  • Does the mavic 2 zoom include a remote controller? I can’t find the item on the bunnings website anymore so can’t check

    • Yep

    • What you will probably want to buy is another battery or two. Advertised flight time of 31 minutes means 15-31 minutes depending on how you use it.

  • +5

Wifey is super happy with my DJI purchase. Thank you Bunnings for the OZBargain of the century.

  • 50k order @$300 its $15 million worth transactions poured into Bunnings:) power of OZB!!!

    • Also, within hours…should be OZ online record:)

    • What have you been smoking it must be good !

      Any spare?

    • That can’t be right they would be giving out 12.5 million in gift cards

      • I think that number was blitzed during the UK Ebay 18.6% off gift card deal !

      • +1

Think about it in a marketing persecutive. When people go to spend the gift cards they are buying marked up products at bunnings meaning we are not giving away the money, its going to come back to us. Also the likelihood of the people receiving the giftcards and not spending over the $250 is also low.

Also im not to sure 100% how many people where compensated with the giftcards

        • +1

I’m using my $250 on an item x 5 at bunnings there ticketed on clearance at $487 but I’m getting them for $130 each so I’m getting a good deal

  • +2

I wish bunnings open new category:
    - Drones
    - 3D Printers
    Seriously!

  • Are the emails finished? Or still coming in?

  • +2

Time to buy a Google Hub Max.

    • Don't think they have Google Hub Max

  • +4

    Thanks BA & Bunnings!!
Got the email with $250 gv, ordered at 7:42am.
I never expected Burnings gives us $250!!
Had an experience with Officeworks last year, ordered BenQ projector for $295(also price error) however, I’ve only received cancellation email from Officeworks.
    Hope Bunnings business will prosper.

    • I remember the projector.
I don't think anyone got it

  • Holy crap!!

Ordered 1 via phone and another in store (provided 2 different cards). Really pissed not getting any compensation when i collect my refund in store. Got negged hard for my comments about Bunnings. Stand corrected by Tightarse and moved on. Checked my email not expecting anything, found an email that my order was fulfilled!

    Thanks OP and Bunnings!!

    • What was your order time?

      • It was 7:32am Sydney time. As per digital text message receipt. Don’t know what to do with the drone now. Lol

    • Which card got the order? Give hope to the phone orders haha…also if you aren't going to use it Im Into drone photography happy to buy it off you :)

      • +1

I used my wife and I’s joint acct debit card in store and a credit card for the phone order. I guess it was the CC that got the deal, i provided 2 different emails as well as the cc was linked to another email. Nah, wife says to keep it for now.

    • You got refund on both orders?

      • I got refund in store. That’s why i was pissed as I didn’t get a compensation for the trouble and $298 poor as i also ordered via phone.

        • Glad one of your orders got fulfilled!

          • @Ebaygiftcards: I posted my dismay few pages back and really not expecting anything at all and just wait for the refund! Hope others who didn’t get a confirmation yet gets it too.

            • @ozricoy: Would’ve been a bonus if you got a $50 gift card in store, plus the drone.

              • -1

@Ebaygiftcards: I know right..instead of an apology, the store person who attended me was rude as well saying it was an obvious price error and people shouldn’t expect compensation at all. Will pass by my local bunnings store once the drone arrives and show it off.

  • Came at just the right time. I had $175 worth of items I needed to buy this weekend. :)

What to get with the other $75.. A new shed.. FML, but Bunnings deserves the extra spend (That's how I justifed it anyway)

  • Well I hope this gets picked up as a positive story in the press. I think this went well above what most people expected.

  • I got a $250 gift card from bunnings!! good thing I didn't go in-store to get $50 :)

    • because you ordered 5 drones?

  • +1

I wonder if anyone got the drone and a $250 gift card by submitting under two different accounts?

    • That would’ve been possible. Considering people tried to order at least in 2 different transactions (like me). Would’ve been the deal of the year - if not already with the free $250 ecard.

  • Thank you BA and Bunnings.
So much respect to Bunnings for the way it has been handled.
They did not need to compensate us with this amount so - amazing.
This has to set a new bar for other companies -Looking at you Optus.

    • Press F to pay respect to Bunnings

Guys, I’ve created this forum as an audit. Feel free to enter the poll. Thanks.

It is a smart move by them, and Bunnings has huge markups on their stock, not to mention 13+ billion $ yearly profit. They can afford to do this and would much rather keep customers happy, especially when it gets them in store and spending more. That's smart business. When small family businesses are affected it's a different story, and a well worded apology email is totally understandable.

  • Feck I didn't get anything from the store, might have to hit them up on Monday.

  • +2

The $250 gift card is a use once gift card. I wonder if you could buy an item that costs $250 or more, leave it sealed and return it. I wonder if they would just issue the refund in a standard gift card. That would be more useful to me as I don’t often spend $250 in one transaction at Bunnings, but instead buy bits and pieces over the year here and there.

    • I just spent nearly $400 bucks on smarthome philips stuffs, good deal though 😂

    • +4

Lets say you buy something worth $20. Normally with Bunnings gift cards you then get the remaining balance in 100,50,20,5 gift cards. I'm pretty sure that's how this gift card will work with registers.

      • As an employee you should know, otherwise customers can definitely ask at the service desk before using a $250 gc on a $4 bag of potting mix lol

        • +2

As a person who investigated how this happend and a software engineer I'm not sure how they handed the compensation out (gift card or voucher or e-gift card). Any of those 3 react differently when used in a register. Also I wasn't involved in handing out the compensation as I'm not allowed to get involved in customer relations because it's for the customer service team to deal with.

          • @[Deactivated]: What happened to your username? How come you are now DisabledUser217644?

I hope you didn't get into trouble with Bunnings.

  • Bloody hell.
    Bargain of the century!!!

    • +2

I didn't try to buy, certain it was a price error.
Gotta be happy with a $250 gift card. Or the Drone.

      Totally not jealous at all.😂😂

  • FFS the suspense! I couldn’t add it in cart, kept getting the Bunnings spinning wheel so called my local store and ordered it over the phone using CC. I only have an order received confirmation email and receipt from that morning. No word on any cancellation or success yet. Fingers crossed I get the drone!

  • wow , i have received some great news…

  • For those that received a gift card pir stone and ordered through bunnings, had your order history been shown as refunded or cleared?

  • Still no email. Just a pending cc payment.

    • I rang customer support last night and she said “oh the drone” haha

You will be contacted by customer support team within the next 48 hrs for any phone orders. Either they will supply if you got in early or refund and gift voucher as per the internet orders

  • -1

does the $250 bunnings voucher work on snags? serious question lol.

    • +1

Only if you fly your drone to collect it

    • No but you can use it in the in store cafe

  • +4

Went to Bunnings and have not found what I want yet, but a very nice feeling to walk around knowing they did the right thing by so many people. I have been telling everyone I know how awesome Bunnings was, and in that way giving them some small payback for the amazing response to this situation.

  • For anyone who paid by CC or by PayPal, whether you're getting the drone or a refund, has the CC transaction gone through or is it still pending?

I tried with PayPal and the associated CC charge has gone through but I still haven't gotten any email. Hopefully I didn't do a typo in my email address :(

    • Paid with PayPal. The associated CC has been charged and is no longer pending. Got the drone.

      • delivery or pick up from store?

    • I did a typo in my email address and haven’t heard anything back yet. Paid with PayPal and money has been deducted from my bank account.

      • +1

Dealstealer, go to the Bunnings website, contact them with your details. When I did that got a response within a few hours with my $250. As it's now Saturday not sure how long weekend replies will take.

        • I called them a couple of times yesterday and also last night and there response was they have been locked out of the system and cannot update or see order details. Also they will be calling people over the next 48 hours

          • @sendcoupons: What happened with yours?

I did a typo too, but then ordered a second with my email typed correctly. My pending CC transactions have disappeared, but I only got one voucher sent to the correct email. I'll call Bunnings again tomorrow to confirm I definitely didn't get one (which seems to be the case because both transactions have disappeared).

  • +6

Congratulations to everyone who got the drone and also to those who got a $250 voucher. I really didn’t see a silver lining to this story, so well done Bunnings.

  • I am still waiting for an email >.>

I have 2 pending charges on my CC, one from paypal one direct from the CC. I don't think I Was one of the first to order though.

edit oh wait, I do have the $250 voucher, yay. Would have preferred the drone to upgrade my original Mavic but oh well

  • My in-store Special Order got refunded with no voucher or anything.

My online order is silent. No emails or anything.

    Unlucky?

    • When did your in store special order get refunded?

      • oh no

      • Morning when it happened. Then they called a couple of hours later and said it was an error. Came in for refund at lunch that day.

        • I’ve done the same thing yet I got the call today re the $250.

    • +1

I had in-store special order and paid cash. They called me the next day to go to the store and get the refund but when I mentioned that some people were getting Gift Cards the Manager who was really nice to deal with gave me $50 Gift Card.

The 3rd day after the order that memo was send and people started receiving $250 eGift Cards I rang the Manager and she advised me that anyone that ordered in-store can ring the Bunnings Support Centre on 1800 797 586 and provide your Order Number and request to get the $250 eGift Card.

After that they pass your info to the Head Office that is dealing with all this.

The Head Office contacted me today and I have provided them my email and just received the $250 eGift Card.

All up $300 of Gift Cards from Bunnings is unbelievable

Special thanks to the OP Being Askhole for this awesome deal.

  • +5

Ah shit I saw this deal early on but knew it was a pricing error so didn't even bother :(

    • Same. Not sure if we need to turn in our ozbargain membership now.

  • Bargain! Missed out on this unfortunately. Had the item in my cart but couldn't check out.

    • If you came that late then you probably would have only got $50

      • Still would have been better than nothing though. Oh well, it will be interesting now to see how Bunnings will react next time there is a similar stuff up.

  • Ordered at 7:36 and did not get a drone :(

    • Which time zone are you in though?

      • So I ordered at 7:06AM ACDT (so 7:36 AEDT) for pickup at a SA store. I wonder if that was the issue.

        • Which SA store?

          • @YellowKnight: Munno para, oh well I still got the $250 gift card which will probably be more useful than the drone (would have been an upgrade from my spark)

        • -1

I think SA NT WA missed out.

  • +31

Got a call from Bunnings that they are honouring my purchase and I am getting the Drone
(I acted surprised.. shocked (which actually I was yesterday);-). Appreciated & thanked him and Bunnings over the phone.. I was dying to say but kept my mouth shut that I was the culprit :D )

    • +1

They know who you are. They know. That's why they called.
