Rich North Shore/Hills District/Northern Beaches folks are pretty much the target market for AmEx and Chargrill Charlie's. A match made in heaven.

    • Family & Peeps $110.00
2 chickens, 2 family chips, 2 family salads, 2 family apple pies & 1.25L drink

      all this for $60

      • If you wanted value you could get 6x chickens @ $18.90 each… $113.4 - $50 = $63.4 cost ?
Problem is … 6 chickens is quite a lot to go through.

        • Can be done in separate transactions.

      • where did u get this? It's not in the 'Catering' menu.

U can only get amex cashbacks for online purchases not in store from what i can read unless im wrong.

        • Under the catering submenu, create a new account, verify your email, then sign in.

then you can see the prices

          • @Zoop: Sorry i was referring to this order:

2 chickens, 2 family chips, 2 family salads, 2 family apple pies & 1.25L drink

            all this for $60

I can order 5 chickens plus mayo sauce for $100 under catering.

    • Why rich?

Some of us "Rich North Shore folks" only buy when there's much better incentives, and we only buy salads.

      • Hahahahaha…

  • Excludes purchases from app. Bumma. Could've scored points for the $100 purchase.

    • Are you sure? What's stopping you from ordering withe horrific app, then paying with your amex?

  • in one or more transactions, online only at www.chargrillcharlies.com

Is there an online ordering portal ? I can't find it on their website.

    • Nvm I'm daft, I just saw the catering side of the website.

  • Phwoar, how much chips would you get for $35/$45 (Regular/Large)

Or are they just massively overpriced ?

  • Their food might be great and all but they underpay most of their workers. They employ international students and pay them $10 p/h and deduct tax on top of that. Its slavery in my opinion.

  • Has anyone tried to pay in store with their Amex despite the conditions "online only at www.chargrillcharlies.com"?

I just ordered online but they require the order to be placed 24 hours before pickup. I am having friends over tomorrow afternoon so was hoping to pick up then. I placed the order anyway with a special request asking for the earlier pickup time, will wait and see if they will entertain me. If not, I guess I'll be eating well on Monday night by myself.

    • that will feed you for all next week

    • Can you update tomorrow, we are on same boat

    • I just got a call from the Annandale store saying 2pm pickup was fine but they didn't have the ingredients for my beetroot salad and pomegranate salad on such short notice so I had to change out both the salads.

      • Yeah they accommodated my less than 24 hr also. Easy as. Has you been charged yet though?

    • does anyone have luck with this? I got told to pay in-store as well.

      • Charged in the morning of pickup order. No issues so far.

    • Avoid at all costs

Yep we paid for a few items back in mid-October with an estimated 3 to 5 day delivery.
Apparently Zanui haven't paid suppliers and couriers who are now withholding our goods.
Avoid at all costs. OzBargain admins have thankfully blocked deals from Zanui - I'd hate anyone else to have to go through this.
Consumers are the last to be refunded. KPMG get paid, banks get paid.
Frustrating knowing they continued to take money well after they knew they couldn't deliver (or that some suppliers would withhold goods until their invoices were paid)

Sorry to hear. I hope you get/got your goods?

This happens far too often in these situations. Look at Bestjet here, Thomas Cook in the UK… :(

  • I havent been charged either and my pick up is in a few hours. I am wondering for people who had to pay in store, did they still get the amex credit?

  • Which stores did people get charged online and which ones did they get charged in store? I am purchasing from the annandale store
