Volans Aluminium USB-C to 4K HDMI Multi-function Adapter with Power Delivery, LAN and USB-A Port
Here’s a vital accessory for your USB-C™ equipped laptop. This USB-C multiport adapter lets you create a workstation while you’re in the office, or when you travel. And, because it supports USB Power Delivery, you can power and charge your laptop through your USB Type-C ™ port, while simultaneously powering the adapter. It fits nicely in smaller, constrained workspaces, plus you can travel lighter and more conveniently using just a single power adapter instead of multiple.

Now, you can create a permanent or temporary workstation, virtually anywhere. Plus, it’s one of the first USB-C adapters to integrate power delivery, making it a must-have accessory if you have a USB-C charged laptop, Chromebook™, or MacBook.

Note: To ensure full adapter functionality, your laptop’s USB-C port must support USB Power Delivery and DP alt mode.

  • for $10 more with more function. How is your compared with the VAVA?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07JCKCZGJ/ref=ox_sc_sa…

    • VAVA is plastic and Volans is Aluminium. You can pay $11 more to get VAVA but I think Volans model is enough for daily use already.

      • The silver of the VAVA is aluminium, only the sides are plastic

    • I got the VAVA recently in anticipation of getting a new MacBook. Few advantages I see

      • 100W PD vs 60W. In both cases the hub itself will consume some power, so assume your system will be getting less than what’s rated if you are doing passthrough power. Given I was after a MBP the extra PD gave some extra headroom
      • Additional USB 3 type A port
      • SD card reader. Given the MBP no longer has this built in, it was nice not to worry about an additional adapter for SD cards.

Hard to say but the VAVA looks lower profile too. To achieve that the Ethernet port is one that moves to expand to fit the cable, not something I typically love design wise but it would at a glance to me suggest the units going to be a lower profile and Ethernet was a nice to have. The spacing of the ports doesn’t suggest to me that the two are much different length wise.

I personally also like that the VAVA has all cables on one side and the SD cards on the other, looks neater to me.

In both cases I wish there was at least one extra USB-C port. I’d sacrifice a third USB 3 Type A for a Type C if given the choice.

Both will do and as the OP stated, for many saving $10 would make sense.

    • normal price is $69. We did a special 4 month ago and we are doing it again.

  • Why are all if these USB-C hubs incapable of displaying 4K@60Hz over HDMI? Anyone know of USB-C hubs that actually support HDMI 2.0?

  • Does this support HDMI at 1600p @ 60hz? Say outputting to a 30" via hdmi.

    • YES, IT DOES.

  • No card reader is the deal breaker for me
