wow! awesome deal! been looking for an Arcade stick and the new SSF4AE for a while now. Cheaper than import!

  • To save everyone else looking, the stick is not available at Big W for XBox360 either in a bundle or separately.

  • Is this USB or does it work wireless like the PS3 controllers?

Secondly, is it light? in my experience some of these things are so light, when you press up on the joypad, the base lifts, making it hard to use.

    • Just found an article.

Page one reads okay, page two - a little less okay.

      http://au.gear.ign.com/articles/766/766069p1.html

    • Its light, but you can put it on your lap and play sitting on the sofa without it flying around making it hard to use. Pretty decent controller for the price.

      That doesn't help…

"Important Note! We can only ship this product to United Kingdom addresses."

    • Yeah I spotted that the other day, but then another Ozbargainer pointed out this;

"Important Note! We can only ship this product to United Kingdom addresses. We apologise for any inconvenience. All prices include UK VAT and delivery."

      • ahhh damn sorry guys!!

  • would love to have this, but the buttons are in a weird position… your wrists will end up in a unnatural angle?

hope they would fix the design in the next version….

I have this PS3 arcade stick, pretty okay for the price. Pro players will go for wired ones as its slightly faster response then the wireless. Miliseconds here, but than thats the differnce between executing a super ultra move.

The button design are not as good as the Hori Real Arcade Pro (HRAP), feel is not as heavy duty as HRAP, buttons not as good as Sanwa buttons, but its a lot cheaper. Good for those that want a good stick but not that hardcore to get a HRAP3

    • The HRAP3 easily cost over $150 so making a comparison with a fight stick that is a third of the price is a no brainer.

This stick is for people interested in fighting games but not wanting to forkout $200+ for a MadCatz TE stick.

Also: Shipping is $7 so use the free shipping code "EDMFREE".

      • I remember HRAP was close to $200 when it came out, hence the reason I got this from JBHIFI for around $50-$60. Cant remember how much it was but they were clearing it. My friend have a HRAP and you need to be pretty hard core to justify the purchase.

Seriously, if you are forking out $78, and potential need two at a cost around $160, then save your cash and spend a little more on this.

$129+delivery (around $60 from US) and you get this baby.

    • who says u need to buy 2? My opponent will play on the ps3 controller! hah

Dragon punch was always easier on the pad… :-)

Most pc -> xbox/ps3 adapters are terribly laggy, which is a bad idea when you are playing fighting games. Also I am dubious to the quality of this stick otherwise.

Because having two dudes rubbing shoulders while playing some hot and heavy streetfighter is a bit fruity? I don't know. Personal boundaries dude.

    • I've got an X Arcade joystick. Its great! You can buy it locally for $199 though.

    • x arcade sticks are not rated that well if you search for reviews…

  • Likewise with the above comments, the stick is light and the buttons and stick are too close together which makes it awkward when playing. But yeh, you get what you pay for.

Namco arcade controller was DA BOMB

I have 2 of them. They are excellent.

  • I wonder how these controllers stack up with others. I know Target have a version of wireless arcade controller for ~$24 at the moment. Which work with PC's as well as Playstation units. Which is what I use it for, MAME.

    • Rumbaar, where did you you find the target controller? i'd really like to know… $24?? i'd certainly want a few for mame :)

      • I'd like to know as well. Just went to Target at Macquarie centre, they don't have any and the stuff don't know anything about it.

  • Average joystick, decent game, awesome deal.

    • dunno if this deal is awesome, average maybe. you can get the game for $20.00 from thehut.com with free shipping, and the stick from bigw can be bought separately for $68.54, so the deal is roughly a saving of $10.00. while a saving of ten dollars is not bad, i might wait for sf iv arcade to drop lower…
