  • Can this be used to shoot air,i.e. As a substitute to air in a can for pc cleaning etc?

    • I doubt it, unless there was some kind of adaptor available with a trigger valve.

  • +2

Own one and it’s pretty handy. Would recommend. Takes a little while to fill up a car tire but it works well.

    • What sort of car tyres do you use it with? Wondering if it does 4WD?

      • +2

jack up the car and it will be much faster.

      • I have a compact SUV and it can top up the tires no problem. I haven’t done a full pump from flat but should be no issues.

Anyone have any insight on comparable models sold at local retail?

  • Interesting - looks quite handy, but wish there was a more compact version for bike-only use (looks a bit bulky, yeah?).

    • Well, the product page seems to imply that the pump can be used to pump bicycle tyres.

I am interested but sceptical… Deciphering the broken english, I think it says it can pump a road bicycle tyre in 3 minutes, but it doesn't say to what psi.

The page doesn't have any dimensions of the pump, and it does look a bit too bulky to fit into a cycling jersey back pocket.

      • Yeah, this one does work for bicycle tires - I just meant a weaker bicycle-only version that was more compact for chucking in your jersey pocket or bike frame pocket, like you say!

If it was half the size, I’d probably grab one!

      • Doesn't show what max PSI is either. In the picture, they're pumping their 23/25mm tires to 45 psi? Sounds like snake bite pinch flats to me. Umm, I'm running 90-100 so think I'll stick with my CO2 inflators and manual micro pump (builds up the arms too) :)

          According to the GizmoChina review:

"Xiaomi Mijia Pump has 150psi pressure limit which can easily fill up tires of bikes, bicycles and even cars."

  • Looking to buy one before, may wait until cheaper and local seller.

Given the size of this and being battery powered I'd be very weary of using it for any more than a few minutes without a proper cool down period.
That's exactly what kills these things.
As for using it for free air as suggested above it would be a no, while it can deliver pressure, it can't deliver flow, just the way it is.
You could pressurise a reservoir and use that as an air source, but at that point you're pretty talking about a real 'compressor' anyway.

    Inflation pressure range: 2000mAh

  • Code's not working for me

      Checked it, still working here

thanks, not need for this gadget. Ordered

    • that's the spirit

  • I would not buy this to pump car tyres. An undersized compressor can deflate your tyres and leave you stranded with a completely flat tyre because they can't work against the volume of air inside a car tyre - as I learnt one day when I bought a $10 pump from Big W and it ended up removing 5PSI from the tyres by the time the compressor started producing smoke.

This should be OK for bicycle or motorcycle tyres, though.

    • Generally yes, but this particular product handles car tyres easily.
This is not a cheap product, it is SLOW but handles high pressures 150psi with ease.
So due to the SLOW speed, I agree you would only use to check and top-up car tyres, you wouldn't want to be inflating a full set from flat.
It's great for topping-up and checking, this as you pre-set your pressure and it pumps up to the desired pressure and stops. It's quite accurate, I was very surprised.

I got mine from Alliexpress, cost about $4 more than this deal.
I leave it in the car, and take it with me on Cycle rides. Gets a lot of use.

Still cheaper at GearBest, you need to add GST + shipping at AliExpress so total of $72.77

  • Actually, this is a pretty good price given that I'll be paying roughly the same if I were to buy it in China.

    • Estimate Shipping time

      15-70 days…

      That's a pretty large range…

    • bs! approx $40 if bought from China.

      • I just went to Taobao and checked. It costs about 298CNY from authorized resellers, which is around 60AUD.

  • I have one and like it.
Good for my bicycle. 55 psi in a couple of minutes.

  • ha, just received my one today. tested it on my car's front wheels, one side is 34 another side is 36 psi, took 15secs to pump up that 2 psi, a bit slow I would says. Not heavy at all and low noise, taking ages to charge this thing. Overall it's ok but over price without aluminum case and Type-C fast charging.
