We encourage all customers to do some research when looking to purchase any brand of Ugg Boots.

Ensure you purchase from reputable websites or stores.
Contact details - If you can't find the business address or contact number of the business you have purchased boots from, who will help you with customer issues.
There are so many sheepskin boots out there claiming to be 100% Australian Made. How can you tell one authentic boot from the rest?

What to ask your retailer when buying your sheepskin products.

Where are your skins from?
Where are they processed?
Are the boots hand cut, hand stitched, hand glued in Australia?
Ask for the address of manufacturer and tannery. There should be no reason why your retailer cannot provide you with details of the origin of your boots.

All Ugg Australia® products are 100% Australian made at our factory and ecologically processed at our Roman Tannery in Laverton North, Melbourne.

  • Discount code CUSTOMER10 takes it down to $62.10

    • I'm just trying to apply the code but doesn't work.

      • Sorry my bad. It worked when the deal was first posted but must have been disabled upon seeing the first comment…

Will it arrive in time for Halloween?

    • -1

We will be shipping them out as soon as possible.

    • Unfortunate road kill in your living room/bedroom what's not to like?
Or you could send it to relatives in Qo'noS.

Looks like something I can find on the side of the road for free

  • +4

Ahh Australia, what other country can you have an animal from your Coat of Arms as a rug on your floor.

    • +1

Not many countries' Coat of Arm has animal

      • Id probably check that out before you say that, more then half is a lot more then 'not many'

    • Considering most of them are eagles lions and unicorns … not that many … Feeling a lot more special now, that I can have it as a rug on me rug

    • what other country can you have an animal from your Coat of Arms as a rug on your floor.

Zimbabwe? Kudu makes a good rug.

Most animals on coat-of-arms seem to be mythical or endangered.

      • +4

        or endangered

That's because their skins made good rugs!

      • True.

Tasmanian government culled the thylacine to extinction, and that was an animal on their coat of arms.

    • We also eat the animals on our coat of arms.

    • Well if you can make an underwear or a bathroom rug out of a flag, then the national animal rug is easier done.

      Bad idea

    • +22

We are the ONLY Australian manufacturer of Ugg Boots with a sheepskin footwear tannery in Australia. It was the US company UGG by Deckers who copyrighted the word Ugg.

      • I apologise and thank you for your response. I checked before I posted but Wikipedia (among others) led me to believe UGG Australia was also their trademark. I’d put something on there if I were you clarifying that UGG Australia isn’t them (in Australia) as many consumers don’t want to support them and their outrageous claim.

    • +9

they die colliding with cars anyway

    • +7

They are also culled yearly as their populations eat out of control.

      • Why the human hypocrisy?

    • They are pests… Like rats or cockroaches

      • +4

They are marsupials… Like koalas or bilbies

        • +1

And they could be pests too if there were too many of them.

          • +6

            @Stinge Master:

could be pests too if there were too many of them.

            Like OzBargainers?

            • @jv: Yes especially when they all line up at JB hifi trying to get a free $300 gift card

        • or possums in NZ

          • -1

            @CacheHunter:

            or possums in NZ

            They aren't native to NZ.

            • @jv: I was merely making the point that being a marsupial and a pest isn't mutually exclusive, nor is being native

            • @jv: They were introduced there from Australia, and are now a pest.

              • @lostn: I didn't say they weren't. All I said was they are not native to NZ.

                • +1

@jv: He didn't say they were native to NZ.

    • +4

Most kangaroos are shot on cropping farms, if they weren’t sold for meat and skins the bodies would be left to rot.

    • +1

But they use organic bullets so why are you complaining?

    • +3

Getting rid of a PEST yes please.

    • There are about 1000 roos cull every year where I'm. Just to keep the numbers down.

    • +3

The only animal cruelty here is me having to read all these braindead comments from people who either can't read OP's description or don't understand culling for sustainability.

    • +1

These animals died so vegetables could live.

  • +3

    This rug is UGG-ly

  • +2

Cheers - got two - will ditch the tails and join them using our old singer sewing machine that can sew through anything - these are a good replacement for rugs for infants to sleep on - compared to sheepskin they use a lot less water and don't have cloven hooves that erode topsoil.

    • +2

Correct, and most kangaroos are shot to protect crops.

  • Awesome, love a good kangaroo rug.

  • +8

why animal cruelty? they already get killed for their meat. and this is the use of their skin.

    • +12

Everything we make is made in our Factory in Laverton North. All of our skins, soles and chemicals are Australian. Nothing is Chinese.

        • +5

You can visit our factory at 31-35 Gilbertson Road, Laverton North to check on the authenticity. If you've ordered from us in the past you wouldn't be saying they're Chinese. Original UGG don't own their own tannery and import their skins from China.

        • This confusion is exactly the reason I have been Ugg-less for many months now.
Threw out my old pair, and all I can remember of the brand-name is that it had ‘UGG’ in it.

Look online for a new pair, and there are so many companies with the word ‘UGG’ in their name.
Confidence in buying from a random online-store is basically at the same level as buying a pair from a random store.
Looks like I will just stay Ugg-less and just resort to socks & shoes when it’s cold.

      Can't turn it into a negative once you've + 'd a deal though

    • +4

Damn those Chinese kangaroos always taking the jobs from our hardworking Aussie roos.

@princess_nik_nak Hey Princess your comment is as stupid as your ability to press a + when you tried to press a - button
If you clicked the link, you would see the banner at the top of the page state "Ugg Australia® is the ONLY 100% Australian Made manufactured Ugg Boots"

      • +1

princess_nik_nak's contribution to this website is littered with pointless posts. Receives so many downvotes on a regular basis that I can even remember the userid

  • +8

    Wallaby damned!

  • +9

if anyone finds one with my toyota badge from the car imbedded in it, let me know. happened last week.

    • Hilarious 😂

  • These look really bad. I can also see drunk friends tripping over the tail. I'm surprised there is even a market for this

  • Not great to look at but mmmm feel like a kangaroo burger now!

  • +3

Nice if some of you did your research before getting on your soap box in here.

This isn't item isn't something I am interested in, but thanks for sharing the deal and hopefully all those Aussies you employ will stay employed for a long time yet.

  • What species of kangaroo's do you use?

    • These are Eastern Greys. But we use whatever is culled for meat at the time.

      • Hi OP

Tried to buy one with the CODE "GET 20% OFF WITH CODE: HALLOWEEN" as advertised on your web site but will not accept it.
Can you look into this and let me know .

        • Due to it being discounted already we have not applied the code to the Kangaroo Rugs.

          • @UGGAustraliaOfficial: Thanks for the reply.
Maybe you need to put up a disclaimer etc in regards to the Code "Halloween" not applying to all items as now it implies that it does.

  • +2

Wow thanks Ozbargainers for the unbelievable response to this deal. We are almost out of this item and will take this deal down tomorrow.

    • What are approx dimensions of this rug ?

      • They are 69cm long (without measuring the tail) by 59cm wide (from the centre).

        • +1

why am I not able to use code 'CUSTOMER10'

          • @srh: Hi srh,

No codes apply to the Kangaroo Rugs as they have already been discounted from $119.

    • We are almost out of this item and will take this deal down tomorrow.

      LOL sure….

  • What are the average size dimensions? Thx

    • They are 69cm long (without measuring the tail) by 59cm wide (from the centre).

I bought a pair of UGG slippers from them with chunks of wool coming out after 3 months of intermittent use, buyer beware

    • Thanks for the downvotes for an honest review.

      • You may have a dodgy foot or dodgy nails

    • Have you contact them ? What's their feedback?

      • +1

They said normal it's wear and tear and no remedy will be provided

    • +1

my partner bought a pair and I can also vouch that they did not last anywhere as long as her other 'originals'
The diamante's fell off, the stitching came undone and the front toe area separated from the sole.
They looked great but have not worn well, the previous pair lasted quite a number of years, the ones she has now, not even 2 winters.
We have resorted to using shoe glue to refit the front sole to the toe area and restitched where it started coming undone.

  • to UGG or not to UGG?

    This is the question…

  • Thanks Op. Going to buy 100 kangaroo skins for my garage. So that my wheels can get a good clean
