Wait…Doritos are shrinking? Now I have to pay more to maintain my fat arse… Curse you Julia!

Yeah, CC's are 200g, which is why you never see them on special for the same price as Doritos. Interestingly enough, CC's now have a product called "Corn Smash", which costs the same as the 200g pack, but only weighs in at 175g.

I can barely get a decent nacho out of a pack of Doritos now :(

Yep… Used to use 1.5 bags for a serve for the family, now it's 2 bags. No spares to eat whilst I wait.

  • thank you (& for your excellent website)

I feel like Woolworths never has great specials nowadays and everything in their store - other than their own brands - are overpriced.

Having said that, their 'Select' and 'Home Brand' stuff is well priced.

    • I've always wondered if they are any different, 'select' vs 'home brand'?

      • Home Brand is their cheap, generic stuff. 'Select' is slightly more up-market, usually with fancier packaging, and possibly better taste.

Realistically, it's all the same anyway….

        • lol thanks. Sounds like the free range vs caged eggs :P

Prawns are the devil to serve. I can't count the number of times my finger has been pricked through the plastic bag.

Off topic noodle rant time, is anyone else let down by the migs noodles? Sure I'll keep buying them, but they're a pain to prepare compared to indomie's mi goreng or the maggi ones. The sauce in the sachets is just plain fail, it's way too viscous and a fight to get out of the sachets.

I'm a connoisseur of cheap instant noodles and these things get to me, I want a quick, easy and vaguely tasty meal.

    • I'm always let down by instant noodles, but have found some safeway stores are selling a noodle bowl in the japanese section (away from the normal noodles). Can't remember the name, but they are a bowl with noodles, fork, dried sachet of vegies and sauce which you microwave. They cost $2 and are very good. Even better if you buy a create-a-meal vegie pack and dump a load of vegies in the bowl as well. Not as cheap - but much tastier and healthier.

  • good deal on the red bull
