Dick Smith $20 off Order $200 or More - Online Only

WANTBARGAIN

This deal isn't going to make you race and buy something however am posting it as it might be good for someone thinking of placing an order.

Use discount code WANTBARGAIN for $20 off any order over $200 online on the DSE website. Starts Thursday, ends Sunday.

It's effectively 10% off if you only spend $200. Not earth shattering but could be worthwhile if you combine it with discounted products or stuff hard to get discounted.

UPDATED TO ADD FULL CONDITIONS OF DEAL:
WANTBARGAIN Promo Code Terms & Conditions: Spend $200 or more in a single transaction excluding freight and discounts and receive $20 off when you enter coupon code WANTBARGAIN at checkout. Valid from 07:00AM Thursday 21st July until 11:59PM AEST Sunday 24th July 2011 at www.dicksmith.com.au. Excludes Dick Smith Commercial, Wholesale or International customers. • I just got my $20 cashback for the previous paypal/dick smith deal today-

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/46583\

This deal looks better though since you don't have to wait for the paypal cashback like the last deal?

  • Been through a fair bit of the site looking for something to get, found a couple of things but only in-store! Doh. Anyone found anything good to make better with this coupon?

WANTBARGAIN - sounds like a keyword a LOLcat would come up with. Do want!

Apparently they couldn't fit ICANHAZDISCOUNT :P

We were going to have "ALLYOURDISCOUNTAREBELONGTOUS" but we didn't think enough people would get it…

Maybe they are slowly trying to belittle us cheap skates, by making us sound out what our cheap intentions are in capital letters.

      • I don't mind if they want to belittle us with "MOARDISCOUNTPLZ" codes. as long as i can get it at least 60% off the oh-why-you-don't-come-by-to-shop-anymore-Harvy's version of RRP.

Didnt DSE reduce the price of the Huawei X5 to $279? If so, thats another $20 off, bringing it to $259 - a great buy for a great phone at that price!

    EDIT: Huawei X5 for $279 at DSE - http://dicksmith.com.au/product/E6842/huawei-ideos-x5-androi…

    • bought the X5 in march for $335. Price drops are bitter sweet.

      • Yeah I bought one for my bro for $320 with an extended 1 year warranty for another $60 ontop, and that was in early April. Three months on and I couldve saved around $60. Oh well cant shift the date of a birthday!

    • yeah i'm thinking of getting this.. can someone recommend me some accessories to bump it to $320 so my total order would be $300 (I want to claim the GST through the TRS when I go overseas next month)

    • In store only at the moment. I had it in my cart before the bargain started working :(. Hopefully you'll be able to buy it online before the bargain's over.

  • 10% off if u spend $200 or more would be better deal.then again u can bargain down at least 20% off asking price for big ticket item like tv at any retailers these days.if u spend $200 then this is a good deal however if u r going to spend $800 tv then $20 off is nothing.

  • Dammit why is it $200…I wanted to get the Tomtom XXL 540…any ideas on anything worthwhile to make the total 200?n

    • +1

      3DS

    • another XXL 540? :P

  • Uh, can I pick up in store?

  • Anybody got this working?
I know its still Wednesday in Perth (11pm) but most of these sites are based on EST which should make it Thursday.

Tried with a TV which is considerably more than $200 and get an annoying message …
"We apologise but we were unable to validate your Promotional Voucher. Please check your voucher code and re-enter if incorrect. If you are still experiencing an issue, please contact our Customer Service team on 1300 366 644"

Bloody frustrating because its the last step of the process.

    • Haven't got it working as of 7:04 AM @ Sydney. Got the same message.

Frustrating, I wanted to order before 1:00 to make sure it shipped.

  • Update: Code now working as of 6:50AM (Perth time) Thursday 21 July

    • I've updated the conditions in the initial post. Seems like it became live at 7.00am AEST.
