I'm currently on this plan, not sure what optus are doing these days!

guess they reached a limit with that deal cause new plans are horrendous, like they dont want anyone to join

    • Amen! Part of knowing how to hunt is knowing when to pounce! I grabbed that deal as soon as it popped up!

Such a bad deal. Why anyone would sign up to a 24 month SIM-only plan, I have no idea.

Trying to match the JB Hi-Fi $500 gift card deal with Telstra.

        … and failed miserably.

This deal is just laughable. Is that what Optus is these days? I'd never thought I'd say this, but there's more value with Telstra? What's happened Optus?

      Singapore want $$$$

    • Try to spend some time on LinkedIn, you will know why.

  • Earlier in the year your could get $40 per month for 80gb http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/459017/amp
and then in August they had $45 for $100gb http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/475291/amp
These new deals are nowhere near as good and as time and technology goes on people require more data not less.
I noticed resellers are raising prices also. OVO mobile large plan was $34.95 for 50gb and now it is 35gb here is the old Critical information summary https://assets.ovo.com.au/ovo-pub/ovo-docs/CIS_MOBLRG_OVOLRG…
vs their new critical information summary https://assets.ovo.com.au/ovo-pub/ovo-docs/CIS_MOBLRG_OVOLRG…

    I thought this was OzBargain?

  • If you’re currently with optus and approaching end of contract go to sales live chat and tell them you’re shopping around and would like to know what your payout amount is. They’ll transfer you to retention.

Recently got the $79 120gb deal for 12 months contact with 3 months free and 10% plan discount. Works out to be $53 a month before you take in to account 12 months free apple music.

I’m most happy with the deal

    Sorry to Neg this deal.

    • What do you mean by payout amount?

  • I reckon probably to do with needing funds to fund the 5G upgrade? Hence why deals has been terrible recently.

  • 12 months contract is reasonable. 24 months, neh!

No INT calls, 24 month contract. JB Telstra deal ($65 60GB/$500 voucher) was much better than this.

  • Meanwhile, Telstra sim onlys are a better deal with 12m…

This deal will only help people leave Optus 😂

you got to up your game, Optus. such poor value in this competitive market.

  • SENSELESS PLANS AND GIFTS

  • Waiting for good deal with Intl calls. Bring back May offer Optus.

    • you're an employee? we should be waiting, not you. You should be reflecting to management the wants of the public.

Yes I'm sure amsaini15 will e-mail the CEO right away.

  • why on earth will someone will have a contract for 24 months which do not provide intl calls?

I think optus is on secret mission, its trying to reduce its users.

Telcos your days are gone where you can charge for individual calls and data. Soon time will come where everything will be just unlimited.
