  • I have the TaoTronics TT-BH042 Bluetooth Neckband Active Noise Cancelling Earphones.

They perform very well for the price. I'm particularly impressed by the ANC. However there is a lot of excess cable which dangles , even when wearing them. The fins make them fit very snugly in my ear, with no inner-ear pain like I've had with other in-ear buds.

Also, there is significant wind noise (which the ANC does not cancel out)… so don't choose these if you plan to walk outside a lot with them.

I should also add that I do notice audio lag when watching youtube/netflix/videos on my phone. So not great for that either.

    • Agree regarding lag..

    • I've had these for a year, paired with the pixel XL and don't have any lag issues as stated above.

  • I wish they made a Bluetooth headphone with proper mic keeping office/business workers in mind.. I have tried a fair few of their headphones and earphones and I always get people telling me that they can't hear me or I seem to be sitting far away from Mic..

    • I recommend the MPOW M5, $24 on eBay. Perfect clear calls, long battery

      • Search “Mpow Trucker” might yield better search results. It’s the one with the square tip on the mic

  • Does TT-BH060 have USB-c charging?

    • +1

      No, micro-usb.

      • +1

Which is sufficient for such a product especially at that price

  • Hi xev,
The EP-008 reminds me the EP01. What's the difference between EP008 and EP01?

  • I KNOW I JUST missed these….but any chance the special code from before is coming back on the TT-BH046?

  • Thanks Xev, bought some 002's to compare to my Bose in ear ANC headphones!

  • Any comparison between BH-053 and this https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07Y9GGS2W ?

  • No apt x support?

    • Sorry, too late to edit. Looking for Aptx over ear headphones, not ear buds.

  • What's the difference between the BH060 from this post and from the ones listed here at a lot higher price? Did the 2019 upgrade change anything but the design?

Edit: it appears the US link you provided for 800 reviews also is the 2019 upgraded model, not the one shown in your AU listing, can you confirm which one we will receive when we place an order following your AU link?

    • They are the same Headphones. The BH060 was released this year.

      • +1

Might be time to update the photos in your Amazon AU listing then. They have a "TT" logo on the side, the ones on Amazon US have some oval yin/yang or S shape, not sure how to interpret it.

    • I ordered the 'BH060' through the last deal on here for ~$70 (about 3 weeks ago maybe?) and can confirm the headphones I received are labelled Soundsurge 60. Only change I can see is the logo on the cans, which I think looks better on the Soundsurge 60 anyway.

  • Thanks for posting. Going to give the TaoTronics TT-BH053 a shot!

  • +1

Highly recommend the BH060, have these as my back up to the WXM3s.

Can say they do well for the price but only down side is when you use noise cancelling the sound volume quality drops as in its not as loud.

Other than that they perform well.

    • can you please tell me if you've used them on a plane and whether the drop in audio volume when using noise cancelling is an issue or not??

looking to get the kids some for a trip we have coming up..

      cheers!

      • +1

I've got the BH060 and used them on a long plane trip, there is a slight volume drop when using ANC but I didn't even have them at full volume when using them so there's plenty more headroom for loudness.

I use them mainly in wired mode with ANC on to save battery on the headphones and my phone.

        • cool, thanks for the reply.. answers my question, thanks

      • I have used it on the train during peak hour and it blocked out the train noise really well and most of the taking . But it’s nit as good as the Sony.

However in saying that there is less pressure from the ANC on the taotronics compared to the Sony on my head .

        • cheers, appreciate the feedback.. i love my bose and didn't expect the same level of quality but thought they looked a pretty good option for the lads on a flight.. thanks

    • sound volume quality

      What does that mean?

      • Basically it’s bit as punchy or more flat in quality but it’s still acceptable .

  • +1

Any discount code on bh22 OP.

  • My TT BH-22's died literally today (bought em in November last year).
I really enjoyed how comfy they were. Not too fussed with sound quality.

Anyway, how does the BH060 and BH046 compare with the BH22?
Which has better sound quality? I assume both are better than BH22 in most areas.

    • +1

wouldnt they be covered under warranty? or did you break them yourself?

      • Nah, the right earpiece just suddenly stopped working (don't believe it's related to the bluetooth connectivity)
But yeah good point, it's been JUST under a year still. Not sure what I can get, but I'll contact the Amazon seller.

        • +1

yea you are entitled to the warranty absolutely. I would contact them immediately so that the 1 year doesnt elapse

        • +1

Exact same thing happened to me. They gave me a replacement and had really good customer service!

          • +1

@worrierwan: amazing service, looks like I'm getting the same treatment :)

  • Using TaoTronics TT-BH042 for couple of months now
No complains, well worth the price I pay
Noise cancellation quality is 80% of prime brands like Sony or Bose
Light weight and pretty good battery life (used 1 hour daily, charged every fortnight)
    Highly recommended

  • In wired mode, which one sounds better BH047 or BH060 ?

  • When does the sale end for the BH060?

  • I've bought TaoTronics headphones (BH025) from these guys many times and been very happy with them.
They make great presents for people who don't have BT headsets.

  • Thanks op… brought the TaoTronics TT-BH060
Going to give these a try.. I have Bose QC25 (wired) and can't bare to fork out $350 off for the QC35 model.
    I'll go el-cheapo heheh :)

  • BH060 have some good and then terrible reviews.. I'm not an audiophile but still notice naff quality sound… is it worth spending a bit more.

Was thinking of getting 2 pairs, my missus wouldn't notice the difference.

  • +1

Fantastic video for those that want a review on the BH060 + a comparison to premium headphones (1000XM3s and BOSE QC35II). Actually compares and tests sound and ANC.

Edit: Should probably post the link…hahaha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV5T6XWT1dw

  • +1

I know these puppies don't support Aptx, (or multi device connection)but they're cheap so that's to be expected….but Rtings rate these things really poorly in terms of video latency https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/taotronics/tt-bh060-wireless but other people say the latency/lag isn't too bad?

Can someone who owns these chime in and give an honest opinion on how these things fare when watching a video on iPad Pro/ iPhone /Mac (I usually watch things through my Plex server)

Or can someone suggest a decent pair of Bluetooth cans similar to these that are good with latency, and ideally have multi connection. (can't bring myself to spring for Sony WH-1000 XM3's!…especially when they don't even support multi connection)

*Edit: Sorry, I was referring to TaoTronics BH060's

  • I don't recommend buying from taotronics on amazon. Purchased goods there and it has been over a week they didn't ship it. Ridiculous.

    • You should contact them and they will fix it quickly.

      • I brought mine 8hrs ago and just got an email saying its shipping and will arrive tomorrow.
I believe its fulfilled by Amazon - meaning its sitting in the Amazon warehouse, not sure why you're having shipping issues.

"Sold by Sunvalley-Brands and Fulfilled by Amazon."

  • Got mine (ordered on Monday, got it on Tuesday).
Not bad actually! I have a paid of QC35 (corded) and the sounds of these sound identical.
Turning on the ANC function though didn't make a huge difference (compared to the QC35 with noise cancelling on), only one way to find out - on a flight!

  • Got the BH060 and had to return them. Sound quality is really bad when the ANC is turned on. Bass and midranges basically disappear with ANC turned on. ANC off is okay but then what the point of getting it if you arnt utilising ANC? Anyways gonna wait for a BH0460 deal and buy that one instead

  • Upon checking the documentation that you have sent through for your untracked Amazon Australia purchase, I noticed that you have used a "YAR7NPET" coupon code. I would like to note that the Amazon Australia Special terms outlines Coupon codes not listed on Cashrewards may invalidate Cashback. This has resulted in your purchase not being reported in your Cashrewards account as it is ineligible to receive rewards from the store.
