      Surprised me too. Just found out Telstra gave me some random 23,000+ points in their new rewards program, and each Google Home Mini is 10,000 points. Tempted but I think I've got enough microphones in the house.

          Good idea. I was thinking of either that, or holding the Telstra points for something better… but don't know if it'll ever achieve Qantas FF greatness.

    There was a Facebook or Spotify deal going around a few days ago that gave these away for free too. I got my corporate eavesdropping device for free from Woolies with no explanation. Honestly Google is pushing to have these in as many homes as possible, I wouldn't pay money for one. Just wait for another free promo.

      I missed all the initial Spotify et al giveaways. These deals are tempting but I can't bring myself to get them because I know a free one will pop up a few days later.

      Probably why we haven't seen a free offer in a while!
