      After 5 there are higher ID requirements but no real limit that I know of..

            of the 5 limit, but Telstra/Boost/sometimes Optus has made me port ONLY via Live Chat

            and can't do it via Activation Websites which is annoying as I have it down to below 1 minute lol.

      There are no laws.

      There are guidelines set by ACMA but that is when there are more than 5 services connected at once. However I dont think many telcos adhere to there rules very often.

        For me Telstra and Optus force me to port via online chat only, and as long as I give

        you my correct ID details I always get port ( or new sim activation ) through and I

        sometimes have over 10 sims active at once in my name.

          yeah, in the case of getting a new number, that's right. If you're transferring phone number from an active catch service then you can't use this.

      yep, i'm using mine in a pocket wifi. So there should be no issue for you putting it in the laptop.

      Mmm would be good to know. Nothing listed in the terms and conditions about this so I would assume it is fine. Hopefully the rep will give confirmation. Amaysim only allow cashback to be claimed one time. For previous Catch Connect deals you could get cashback if you had claimed it for a previous deal.

    • My question exactly. They had the similar deal with amaysim before and I bought it but they ended up not giving me the cash back. So let’s make sure if it doesn’t happen again.
      Ps: if you end up not getting the cash back, before activating the sim card, you can contact the customer service and get your money back.

      So unless things have changed recently then it should be all good this time.

      There is also a distinct difference between the special terms for Amaysim and Catch Connect on Cashrewards. For Amaysim - Cashrewards state that cashback is "limited to one per Cashrewards account". There is nothing like this written for Catch Connect.

        Correct. This is a new promo and is fine for cashback even if you've previously purchased via Cashrewards. However, please remember you still need to meet the the Catch Connect terms for new customers, activation date, gift cards, store credit etc in order to qualify. Thanks.

    Still haven't received the last $10 cashback from July. Got declined and then I lodged an enquiry. Was told they would look into it but still no update.

      You need to create a new account with a new email.

            I had issues purchasing. Strangely said I was an existing customer and should sign in even though I used a new email. I then signed in with this new email and nearly went through with the purchase. But then I decided to try to do it all again with another new email address and this time I was able to purchase with no problems.

      • So did I. It tracked instantly.

        It still qualifies as a new service as far as I can tell. You can't use these cheap ones for recharges.

      Using the same account / email has always worked for me, it seems to be on 'new services' Never had an issue with tracking or clearing.

    • I think you choose a new number or port your current one when activate the SIM, not at sign-up stage.

  • Purchased, tracked, sim arrived, activated, now on My Dashboard it briefly pops up showing the number and service and says "Activation in Progress" but nothing further so far. I imagine it will tick away and an email will arrive when it is activated.

    • Make sure you turn off auto-recharge in the Dashboard.

  • Anybody only given 20GB when they activated? I just actiuvated today and its only giving me the 20GB plan with $35 recharge even though i purchased this one.

      yep - activated today. seems like their 40gb plans dropped to 20gb?

      • Plan ID:402c is for 20GB data.

        • I just checked my order confirmation email and it says 402c but i know for certain i clicked the 40GB as i double checked which one was the cashback on here.
          My cashback also tracked at $10 which was for the 40GB sim.

            • @Neoika: It says it's for the 40gb plan as per this deal so that is what I picked. I even had to come back to ozbargain to check which plan to click on as it shows all options when you click from cashrewards

        I have just activated my sim - 30 Day Plan ID:432c $49.90 / 30 days.
