Best CPU in the 10th gen series in my opinion at midrange price graphics level of Ice Lake, I was fortunate enough to be there for the Intel launch event for RSP's for 10th gen processors in Sydney and experience them early for myself.

  • The MX230 discrete graphics is a bit redundant with this cpu, considering the integrated graphics performs similarly to the mx230.

Not a bad price for an Ice Lake i7.

    • Can it be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro and for how much?
      Edit… Just checked .. It's $100.01

  • Wow I didn't realise Intel are up to 10th gen already. It only seems like months ago when 9th gen was released.

    • Some youtuber benchmarked 10th gen against 9th gen and found 10th gen at the same TDP to be about 5% faster than 9th gen. That's about Intel's standard for a gen.

It's not like mobile CPUs which are a bit more significant increases in performance each year than 5 or 10%.

    • In 4 or 5 years on Apple machines too, stay tuned

  • is it good enough for basic level photo editing?

    • +2

More than enough. The integrated graphics for these new CPUs perform really well with basic photo and video editing

    No USB C-PD :(

  • Where can I find the weight of this laptop?

  • +1

Can't find anything on battery life

  • How do I get it down to ~$1200 from the $1700 RRP?

  • How to get for the listed price? Please advise the codes. Thanks
