    ‘No, I am your father.

  • Recommend the MX Anywhere at this price. Good buy

    • I bought MX Anywhere 2 and then 2s to use at home. MX 2S buttons make such a loud click compared to MX 2 that it's almost uncomfortable.
Maybe it's me, but I hate 2S and absolutely love the MX 2.

      • I have both also (wife uses the 2S, I use the 2) and notice similar things

  • my point of view.
I bought it based on the great feedback of this community during one of the sales (of course).

Comparing to a vertical mouse, this mouse has sat on the side for 2 weeks after buying it.
Great features, sure, it's heavier than usual (good thing for me).

But yeah, after trying a vertical mouse, I can never use a normal mouse.

    • +1

Can you recommend a vertical mouse?

      • +1

The Anker brand ones are of higher quality, but I bought an ordinary one from Ebay and it's been incredibly reliable and good.
A quick button to adjust DPI's is a great option for photoshop, estimating etc..

        I bought this one https://ebay.us/yDhT5Z

      • +1

I've tried the Anker verticle mouse, the MX master 2s and the Delux one. I recommend the Delux one for $30

        https://www.amazon.com.au/DELUX-Ergonomic-Adjustable-800-120…

Just keep in mind that you can't really use the verticle mouse for gaming, but it is great for general use. It is customisable with an app (DPI, macros, mouse buttons) and the buttons are easy to press. Its also got customisable lighting if thats for you

        • Is it easy to click the close button on top right corner of screen with a vertical mouse? That was my only but serious problem with trackballs.

          • +1

@nfr: yup. Im guessing it would be easier to navigate with the verticle mouse than a trackball

        • What to buy with it, to qualify for free delivery?

      • I recommend Logitech MX Vertical, very good one. The wheel could be better (like in MX Master), but the rest is perfect.
I haven't tried other ones though.

  • In case anyone didn't know the MX Master 3 has been released.

  • What's so good about these expensive mice? Genuine question… See these deals posted a bit and wonder why such a high uptake

    • Can only speak for myself, but I travel a lot and these are very handy. No cords, feel good, and works on any surface. Only thing I don't like is the loose feeling of the scroll wheel, but that's just me.

      • I think you can change it to be freewheel or clicky! press the wheel to shift to click-to-click scrolling.

        • Rather, you press the tiny button just below the scroll wheel the switch from Freewheel to Clicky.
I've been using my Gen1 MX Anywhere at work for yonks now.
I use the secondary scroll wheel to control volume, so as soon as someone needs my attention I can adjust the volume without taking my hand off the mouse.
I also assign the hidden thumb trigger to open a blank Notepad/Sticky note.. So as soon as I need to be jotting something down, I just mash that thumb button and start typing the memo.
I also have one of the programmable buttons set to open a New Email.
And another to open Chrome browser.
With the latest software, you can also have the ability to use gestures.. so you hold the gesture button down and move the mouse to do certain things. ie. Hold Button + Pull Down = minimise all programs.. That sort of thing.
Hold Button + Swipe Right = Move program to secondary screen.
They are awesome mice for those who learn the possibilities with them.

        • Careful, I have a Master 2S and I switched to loose scrolling by accident, and couldn't switch it back. Wheel stuck on loose mode. Not sure what happened but might be a product defect.

Good thing on warranty at JB I was able to get an exchange.

    • I didn't like Logitech - MX Master, it was too big for my hands and heavy. The smaller version might be better for me.

For me what's good, would be wireless, software customization, build quality. Even though I'm pretty sure, will end up buying another mouse, not because it crapped out, but because of Ozbargain!

I think the MX Anywhere is too small and the scroll wheel including middle button sucks.

        • What is this, a mouse for ants?!

    • Durability - high end Logitechs seem to last 7+ years. Ive always passed on to others with upgrades and a friend is still using mine from 2007.

Features - Customisable buttons, free scroll wheel, Logitech flow, multi device switching.

Portability - Bluetooth + unifying USB receiver. Seen too many cheap mice junked when dongle is missing or broken. No problem with Logitechs which use unifying.

Ergonomics - it's subjective but they do feel great compared to the cheaper symmetrical mouse shaped mice.

    • Comfort, reliability, customisable buttons, and my favourite feature (which only Logitech does AFAIK) is the wheel which automatically switches from clicky to smooth scrolling when you scroll quickly. When you have to look at long documents or log files it's really useful.

    • Look for any full sized Bluetooth mouse and most are over $50. I prefer Bluetooth as my laptop only has 2 USB ports.

Then there's the software (Flow), tracks on any surface (including glass) and feels solid. $80 isn't all that much on something that gets used, well for me, 5 hours a day on average, 5 days a week. I still got a Logitech G700 mouse from 2012 at home and going strong, which proves Logitech are pretty reliable for their mid-top end stuff.

  • any g502 deal?

  • Just bought Master S2 :)

  • Bought the anywhere :) Excited!

  • Cheers, bought the anywhere 2s. Already got the Mx Master 2s and i'm loving it.

  • Cheers got the Master MX2s … been on the hunt and not really had something to tip me either way.

  • Does the white MX master 2s ever go on decent sales? I've been hanging out for it for a while but haven't seen one since the Costco deal way back.

    • +1

Appears they discontinued the White, as all the major retailers (OW, JB, TGG, HN) don't stock them anymore.

Only Bing Lee has it listed on their site, but low/out of stock.

      • ah thats a shame, I love the aesthetics of it. All the other "white" mx models are all grey and gross haha, even the new one.

        Thanks for the info though.

  • How long does it take for the order to process? If I buy and click & collect at 6pm, will it likely to be available by tomorrow morning?

    • +2

It depends on the store you're collecting from, and when they process the order.

  • love these mouse, i have the gold one the original limited master version

never tried the S2 any big differences

  • Looking to get the Master 2S for use at work, however our work laptops don’t allow us to install any software onto them. Would I be able to customise this on my personal computer then plug it into my work laptop to continue using the same settings?
