Cadbury Choc Bar of Plenty $1.20 (Target Chadstone VIC)

Headed to Chaddie with the intention of grabbing the PSP deal and spotted this in Target. Pretty good deal IMO, expiry date was 5th sept. Not sure if deal is available at all stores though!

    HAHAHA!!! Guess what?? Local NQR has these for $0.99!! Wife grabbed a block during the week, going back for a couple more tomorrow. =]

  • These are only $1.00 at The Reject Shop. Bought a bar the other day. Not the nicest choc, but hey it was cheap.

  • NQR (Chelsea in VIC) is selling them at 99c this weekend

  • They are this price in SA. It's not the Hazelnut one's which are nice but the Berry Fruit Vanilla Shortcake. I love chocolate but find these wierd. So do a lot of people that's why they are on clearance everywhere. They have big chunks of shortbread biscuits in them.

    You might like them but I'd suggest trying one before stocking up.

  • I tried the roasted cashews one and it was delish, wasn't too sure about this one so bought one first to try. Sounds like everywhere else is clearing them out too so it might not be good?

  • Still $3.75 on the Central Coast NSW, I just checked and staff said they weren't going to be marked down that they knew.

  • I bought two bars at the Perth CBD store and they were both grainy in texture and had bloom. I had previously bought one with no dramas. Thought I would let people know.

    • what is bloom in regards to chocolate?

      • The white colouring?? The block we got from NQR was fine in texture and colour.. Wasn't too bad really, I mean sure, there are better flavours, but it's cheap!

        • I just don't want anyone to buy a heap of them without checking a bar first. If you are going to buy, say 20, to give out to your children's friends when you go to the movies, you don't want them to be stuffed. The first bar I had was fine. The second two were stuffed.

        • I've had bloom in full price Cadbury blocks from major supermarkets as well. That's dependent on storage and transport staff. It could apply to any chocolate, anytime. They are marked down at a range of retailers because it's a discontinued line not because they are poor quality/have bloom. The fact the first one you got was fine indicates it. You neg vote isn't fair as such. It was just bad luck with what you bought on that occasion.

      That's no reason to vote negative. This is a good price and therefore a good deal. I just went into my local Coles today and these were $4.20 per block.

  • These are pretty nice actually, not sure why it's always so discounted. I go to Chadstone all the time so yay chocolate for me.
